Are Singular Tags More-Popular than Plural Tags?

I'm wondering; How can we decide between using a word for one thing or for more-than-one thing when writing the tags for discussions?
(Yes, we could write 'both'; but wouldn't that start to look like "keyword-stuffing")?
I think--case-by-case--we ought to choose whichever form we think is most-'talked about'; what do you think?

Tag are for helping others find discussion-topics.

I generally go with the singular form--especially, when the only difference is the addition of an "s" to the end. (example: "duck" and "ducks" -- and "duck" would also, likely, work for someone wanting to find something about a "duckling" or "ducklings")
Now, if the plural would involve more of a change, I might wrote both "lady" and "ladies" (for example). Even then, I don't always use both the singular or plural. Just pick the one that would be the best one used as a keyword for what I'm writing.

As for me,I seldom use the tags when I start a discussion, firstly it will save my time and secondly I do not see its good use,I still keep my point that a good discussion is base on its content, but I have to admit that sometimes good tags will make your discussion more attractive.

I often use singular tags, but most of the time i would find my self using singular tags too if i find it more descriptive of my discussion. =)
I would tag my discussion, but often do not tag other's discussion except if i come across something that is not tagged and i have a lot of time to spare. :D

Preferably, I use tags the refer to the gist of the discussion, or chose one of the appropriate tags that are optional on the OP's post. I find it then links me to similar discussions/and to not duplicate!
