i spend some time on facebook, but geez! people like my sister in law have kids, but have nothing else to do in life but sit on facebook. i want to be able to go play my games, since mylot is slow. she will see that i am online and pop up in the IM box on me. that is so annoying. she is just going to tell me bull isht details about her perfect life with no responsibilities and i don't want to hear it. i wish she had more responsibilities in life than just to sit and wait to catch people on facebook. why don't she take care of her daughter for a change, instead of her mother and boyfriend (not even the baby's father). People who spend all their time on faebook makes me sick.

That can be pretty annoying, especially if you are not in the mood for a chat and you just check your account. If I were you I will turn the Facebook chat off. That way, nobody can tell that I am online that time and still be able to check my inbox, respond to a few and log off completely. Next time if I am feeling chatty, then I can simply turn the chat on.

My sister in law could spend hours as well playing online games either via Facebook or other sites. She doesn't bother me but I feel she needs a lot of hings to do in her house now that it looks like a hoarder's house! Piles and piles of pocketbooks and other children's stuff scattered from the living room up to her bedroom. I do not know how she can live in that house where you sometimes have to cringe just to be able to move from one spot to another.
I have encourage her to join Mylot instead of playing games since she loves reading books since she was in College and I think that she is good with words as well, but no. She'd rather read that express herself. And so I remembered, even the excuse letter that her kids would be needing is always written by me!

That was the main reason why I split with my ex she was forever on Facebook and I just couldn't compete, even on vacation she would be forever posting what she was doing on Facebook. I even had to find out delicate information by viewing her facebook page when she didn't have the decency to speak to me first. I even deleted my Facebook account, I realized I was spending too much time playing the mindless games, there's more to life than Facebook.

That is why I do not agree with the point that wife just should stay at home and do housework without a regular job, people need a job otherwise they will think weird and boring.

When I created account and did not have much responsibility, I used to just waste my time on facebook. I used to be on facebook about four - five hours per day and doing nothing useful there. It was just waste of time and waste of electricity. But, fortunately soon within a year, I got so much study responsibility that life taught me what life actually is and now a days I never spend more than hour on facebook. I am glad that I am not one of those people who are much addicted towards facebook.
But, thinking positively about myself , I have managed to increase typing speed through facebook. But I could have done that using mylot too. But, I did not mylot existed at that time.

for me spending a lot of time in facebook is so boring even if it has games to play.. i only check it twice and then thats it.. i only spend time with it when i am uploading pictures.. and i am a mother so i have lots of responsibilities to do than spending my time in facebook.. i hope that thing will realize of your sister in law..

I've a friend like that too. She spend all day on faceebook. Not even her house duty is complete, and she play almost every game on facebook. If I don't feel likee talking ii jusst turnn off the chat. She need to be more responsible, and take care of her kid,and use facebook ffor when she is free. Their are a lot of facebook addicts out their, who are lazy and livee in cyber space.
I just hope that your sister inlaw, will wake up and start to be more responsbile.

Hi! Most of the time, I won't even care about them because I myself less spend time on Facebook. The last time I logged was two weeks ago, and did not even bother to check my friends' posts. I logged to check some messages from my friends working overseas. Most of the time I think that I am being left behind in everything that happens in facebook, but I can't spend more time in that. I'd rather enjoy my time alone reading a good book than browsing photos there.

Tell me about it. I dont blame social networking because they do not force us to use them. I believe that this generation do not understand the potential of internet. They limit its useage to only facebook and orkut. I guess its the parents responsibility to see how much time their child spends infront the computer and how much they spend outdoors. Too much time spent sitting in front of a computer can hamper a child's physical growth.
