oh, good luck for your having a credit card, however,pay more attention to it. as the younger generation, we all have a habit of crazy shopping and never think about the results after that. This may be very dangerous and could make you in trouble. here are the tips;
1. check your wages per month. make sure that you can afford what you want to buy.
2. make a clear account on your shopping and check the account in your credit card in time.
3.make sure to make ends meet at least rather than out of your control in economy
last but not least, hope you are careful about your money and your invisible card.

actually my boss gave us tips about using or how to use our credit cards,he said that when we use it to buy we make it sure that we pay the amount even if the first bill only and when we will never pay the next the bank will never sue us about the credit card because not paying is unintentionally because we pay the first bill.

Hi katrinapaz! congratulations that you have your credit card. :D I think with the new credit card you have, you should not go out and splurge. remember always before you hand out that card of yours to the cashier... then you will have to think more than twice if you need to use your card -- you are after all spending the money that you do not have.
So if you have spent and used your credit card, then I would say that at least try to pay the account in full each time the bill arrives, otherwise you will incur charges of interests and it will be compounded and the bill will increase.

Hi Katrinapaz. I read somewhere that a good way to limit your credit card spending is to literally freeze your card. Put it in a tray of water and then pop it in the freezer. When quite tempted to use it, it will take a while to thaw and while it does, the craving to buy on credit would probably be gone by then.
But seriously, you should also monitor the statement date of your card and the due date. That way, you can set aside the amount due on a staggered basis so that when your bill comes due you would be able to pay the full bill and not pay just the minimum amount which incurs interest.
Master your credit card and do not let it master you.

One: Never Overspend. Lolz! There are instances when people tend to buy stuffs our of impulse because they have the card to swipe every time they want something. Never forget to at least have an estimate of how much you can spend in a month and make sure that you can pay for whatever you've spent.
Two: Always pay in full! Credit cards allow "minimum payments" wherein you can pay your monthly bill for a smaller amount and pay the remaining in the upcoming months. Good? No!!! It's because you get to accumulate finance charges from it. As the months pass, your financial charge accumulate more. Pay your bills in full always. This doesn't apply for installments of course :P

Hi katrina!
Having a credit card can help us if we know how to handle it properly. Using credit card can offers convenience than carrying cash and at the same time, we can already purchase an item we like ahead of our payday. There are also items which we cannot afford to buy on one time cash basis which we can get on installment basis up to 6 months or depending on the offer of the store with no interest at all.
Have a great day!

Congratulations sister! But then again just like everything in life, keep it in moderation and within your budget. If you can only use your credit card for really important things no random buys okey? And avoid monthly dues and penalties, believe me it can get you drowned with debts. Credit cards are supposed to help us manage our expenses and our money, don't get too excited honey, it is very fun to shop with no money and swipe it, but monthly bills can be a shocker too.

Hi, I am a credit card holder since 2005. When I got married, I was not able to update my payments, so that meant, my dues have piled up and my payments were just the minimum amount. What I did was, I cut my credit card so I won't get tempted to use it, not avoid adding to my debts. Since then I learned my lesson. That was the first and last problem I had since I had a credit card.
The best advice I can give you are the following: First, think twice before you spend on anything, ask yourself if you really need it. Second think if you can afford the payments, or if it requires you to pay half of your salary every month, it depends on your capacity to pay. And don't bring you card each time you go to the mall because you'd always get tempted to use it. I'll just get back to this topic when I could think of some more. I hope you find it helpful.

Credit cards can give you a purchasing power at anytime you need it. That's why try to control yourself from impulsive buying.
Use it for very important and big amounts, that you can't pay in one payday. But be sure to pay them as they fall due or else they will incur many interests and surcharges on top of that.
Also, keep it always in a safe place where no one except you can get and use it.

Hi I am a credit card holder for 6 years and I can say that credit card is a great help fo me, I can manage to go shopping anytime without worry of carrying a cash in my pocket.. use of credit card is more safer that having money in your pocket the whole period of shopping.
But.. please be careful because it is one of the temptation for you to spend more than what you earned.. and thanks god I am not like... i have discipline in terms of spending.. I knew a lot that ruined their financial status because of credit card.. so if you think that you don't have disciplne in spending so you better not to dare to have a credit card.

I felt so excited when I first got my credit card. I brought my whole family to the mall to eat and shop using the card. I felt like all the items that I purchased were free. However, after several months of receiving bills. I get tired and felt unhappy because of all my spending. In one year, I was able to get three more credit cards. So I already four credit cards at that time. After a few more years, I didn't like I am progressing. I didn't have savings since almost all my income were meant for card payments. I decided to close my three cards. It was very hard to cancel them since I gotta pay all my outstanding balance, fortunately I did. Now, I only have one credit card and I only use it to purchase installment items. There are pros and cons of having a credit card. But I think the primary lesson here is to gain self-control and discipline.

Just be careful and don't give in to temptation and buy a bunch of stuff. When you get your monthly bill reality sets in pretty fast. I would recommend just using it for emergencies or when you are really broke. Make sure to pay more than the minimum amount every month and try to keep that balance close to zero. Interest will kill you in the long run.

At first I have one, it was a relief for my immediate needs, but later its a tic tac working to pay monthly. At first its good to go shopping, but what you shop ? it happen that even if you dont need the product you buy, a beautiful thing in your eyes to have, but a waste. Food, before, you budget things, now you buy even you dont need it, just a stock.. . Be wise in using it.. . . Its just a matter of replacing the amount when salary comes along.. . Do some budgeting to things you need and spend.... Quality spending for your family... Dont abuse your card. . . Pay your card on time so that you will not incurred the interest that goes with it... Sometimes you can pay them full monthly...but if the case, you have not , a minimum amount is easy but when you try to compute if youre doing it for year, you will notice the interest you gave to the bank, its nice not to have one. So pay your due when it is due, dont delay it will cause you trouble someday.
