Have you ever dreamed of your dead relatives?

My father died about one year ago,but every one in our family couldn't forget him, especially my mother, who was alone at home.Sometimes she would ask me whether I had dreamed of my father, and I told her yes.
Yesterday evening, after working hard all day,I felt really tired and went to bed early. But it was quite difficult for me to fall in deep sleep.I found I was in a dark room with little light of two candles. When I went over there,I found it was my father sitting there.I wanted to ask him why he was there, but he didn't answer me.So I wanted to shake him,but suddenly he disappeared, leaving me crying in the dark room.I was so sad that I woke and found it was just a dream.

Yes, I sometimes dream about my father who passed away a few years ago. At times the dreams are a little upsetting, but I also feel grateful that I can see him again even if it is just in a dream. I also dream about my deceased pets sometimes -- one in particular was really disturbing. My dog was thirsty and I kept wanting to give her water but somehow I couldn't. Even when I woke up, I felt upset that I couldn't help her.

There were two instances that I have dreamed of my grandma and grandpa. Both of them passed away already when that happened. It was like they were just looking at me and wanted to say their last goodbye.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've experienced similar dreams. I lost both of my parents pretty young and I used to have pretty intense dreams about my mom. In the first one I had, she was just standing in front of me and I asked her a few questions and she answered them pretty lucidly. Then I asked her if she was really here to answer my questions and she just looked at me and said "Don't worry, you'll be here soon." That freaked the hell out of me. But the dreams stopped after a couple of years and now, 5 years later, I realize that it was just my brain coming to terms with the loss. I kind of miss the dreams now, though.
