I'd been wishing/wanting to have a sort of partner in this kind of small business venture I am having, even just an assistant who could do tasks when I am not around, but it seems like I am looking for the impossible. First of all, I am looking for someone who can teach English. He or she must also be a good speaker of the language. Then she or he must also possess talents (any) so she/he can train or coach students when I am not around. Then he/she must be able to write and should also know how to market the business. I'd been getting help every now and then but it seems like I have not found the person I'd like to be partners with. I guess I will be doing this by myself for the rest of the time.

I think it is always hard for a person to find a good match for themselves. many people just don't work as hard when it's somebody else's business, and a lot of people who are good at teaching are not necessarily good at marketing, etc.

Shame I didn't live closer my friend, I would willingly help you, I have the time, enthusiasm, commitment and I am extremely reliable. The only trouble is I won't use the telephone or speak on the phone or mobile, anything else I gladly lend a hand to, shame too as I need a job right now

Thanks for this discussion
Will you hire me? lol
What you are talking is true, it is difficult to get a HONEST partner IN BUSINESS, particularly, ultimately the business fails, so always think, examine then hire lol.

That is not impossible. You just have to cast a wider net for your search, and make the offer of the assistant job really catchy that it will really be noticed by a lot of people. Ask for referrals as well, if people you know have some people in mind that can do the job.

No, it's not impossible. Like all things in life they all take some time. With doing a business venture, you also need to take make some compromises. Out of all the candidates you interview, there might be a chance that they only meet most of your expectations. So out of a bunch of candidates, you need to pick the best one who is qualified and hard working. For that person who meets most of your expectations, that person may be able to learn to develop the skills while on the job. But this is just a example of a potential scenario. Depending on how you are searching for the perfect candidate, you might need to also be flexible on helping them develop some skills they might be lacking.

I think its impossible to find such a guy who you're looking for. Because he/she may not be same as she behaves in front of you.I suggest to have an eye on the person by concentrating on your works. So that you may explore your time management too with out depending on others. it may lead to find a new person in you by finding something....hmmmm
