Marriage now and before

Hi! There is a big difference between marriage before 100 years and now. How, why? Is it because women become a full member of society? Because of new ways of communication? What do you think, was it better before or now?

First of all, i think is about the position that woman gained in society. Before 100 years ago, the man bring money home. The people was thinking that the man is superior and he has to decide in almost everything that happens in the family. Now, in most of the countries the woman and the man are equal. Look, for example in some arabic countries the marriages are the same like 100 years ago because the man is still in charge and they have the same tradition like always.
