Sachin surprised everyone in the second innings by belting the first two balls he faced for two sixes and then played out a maiden over. Is there a message in this for the Australians?
I'm sure there is but more importantly for blokes like Bhajji and Sehwag who are low on confidence to get their act together and thrash the enemy from down under. What will happen if Sehwag finds his confidence and turns it on, one last time. Just to show these cocky Aussies their place.

Sachin came and hit two towering sixes and it was so delight to watch. He is looking quite confidant and rustiness is far away from him. Pujara was all at sea against Lyon today. I think Aussies will pick two spinners from the next match and it's going to be tough for India. Moises Henrique is going to pose some challenge to team India along with masterful Clarke. What's your say fannekhan...

India's problems lie in tackling the pace bowling and quality spin too. I doubt if Aus has the quality spin to test India. Clarke will be tough to remove but he is not a 100% fit

:) It was not clear what Sachin was doing. I remember Warne going back with his horror dreams from one tour. I think Sachin has just sent out a message to Lyon, I am coming after you, start dreaming. I think before the next match, Lyon is going to be dreaming of only two people, Sachin and Dhoni. :)
Cheers!

LOL! Warne recently said he regretted that remark because Indian fans took it up literally and Shane did clarify that it was said in jest and meant more as a compliment to SRT than to acknowledge that he (shane Warne) was in any way intimidated by Sachin or Sidhu.
Maybe we should not read too much into these things, after all it takes just the one ball to get out and SRT was bowled yet again in the first innings.

Well, we cannot underestimate anyone. Not the out of form players. Not the Aussies also. Recall that England also lost the first match in the test series last November, and then bounced back. So, they can still bounce back in this series. Still, it seems more to India's way at this stage.

Yes, Indis has to be alert. We are still in transition and we do realize that it was the established stars who played well. The list of failures is long. Bhajji, Murali, Ishant Sharma, Sehwag...

Really sad that Sachin missed his ton.Not only me infact everyone was waiting for it. Even Sachin was specially waiting for it for a long time.He was practicing hard playing first class matches. Anyway he have more time waiting and Australia should be aware of it. Regarding Sehwag's performance, no one can predict his form. One cannot say whether he is in form or not.May be in one innings he score a ton and in another 1 run. But when he is rhythm no one can stop him.

sachin has showed all those who were spreading the news that he has gone old and will not be able to show his skill upto the level. they don't know that a lion can roar even he is young or old. This innings is a tight slap for all those and the aussies as well.

Sachin is a legend for cricket history now he does not need to show any thing silly he is more mature then he is look he takes his time to build the inning in any format of cricket, in addition to this sehwag and bhajii are have a class like sachin you cannot compare both of them to sachin but you can say that after quite some time legend vs icons.

Under any other condition, maybe even in the T20 format, I would have been shocked if Sachin would scored 2 sixes off the first 2 balls. But in the context of today's match and particularly the situation in which Sachin came in to bat, it wasn't totally unexpected. He had nothing to lose and he went for it. I'd rather not read too much into it. As far as other's form or confidence is concerned, they're professionals and its usually a matter of time before they regain it.
