Writing, or blogging, saved me!

Of course, many of us had childhood dreams that never came true. Mine were simple dreams, and yet, those dreams remained dreams, and wishful thinking that one day, some of those dreams come true, late as it may seem.
Am not disheartened though by what had come my way, sidetracked a bit, but got back to the trail just in time...
I think that writing saved me, or what this modern day tekie thing they call blogging on the internet.
I love writing my thoughts, I suppose, but my personal journals got lost in the byroads, too. Am alive still, and what constitutes my day is if I can impart something, some thought, or idea, to someone, be that person a friend, or family, or an alien, so long as I was able to help a bit, when he or she reads what I wrote. It came as an afterthought, that in wanting to help others, I saved myself, too.

Your experience is the same as mine. Had big dreams, too, but, as you said, sidetracked a bit also. I love writing, but I hate the pressure of deadlines. I wrote quite a few articles on Hubpages but the pay is still so small because the base is page views. I'd like to write more in there when I'll have more time to write quality articles.
Gauging from the tone of your discussion, I may say you're earning much in your writing career. Good luck.

That's true, Angelpink, and I really envy those writers in Hubpages who are now earning much. I have to be patient and persistent. Thanks for the advice. I should go back there and do some writing.
By the way, are you also a hubber?

I'm a Hubber! I only have eight hubs, though. I've read of others who make enough to live off HP income, but I'm just not that creative I guess. I can't seem to think of what to write about. I write for Yahoo! Contributor Network, and it seems okay. I've also just recently went back to Helium to build up some content...at least there I'm not at a loss for ideas.

Hi Eileen, yes, writing down our thoughts and feelings can stop us from getting depressed.
I think the modern world is getting more and more complicated.
People are less friendly because they have no time for friendly chat, and they are afraid of being helpful too.
Best to write down our disappointments so that we do not feel so bad.

writing can really be a big help when it comes to letting your mind speak. I also love to write my thoughts but just on paper and not on my When I write what I feel or how my day has gone, I find it very rejuvenating for my soul. If I have a problem and I write about it on a piece of paper, I feel like I am talking to a friend and letting out all the negativity in my body. I feel lighter inside and my brain starts to think straight and clearly. In your case, writing to help others and in the long run you have realized that it helps you too, is a really big thing. Keep it up and may you help more people along the way. :)

Your views are very broad and shows the maturity. Yes, there are people who are willing to help others, but very few who are as passionate as you. Your thoughts struck me as soon as I read the first few lines and I read till the end - which I hardly do
But honestly enough, I feel as if I am talking to someone who has lots of divinity in you. Helping others will certainly save oneself too as what we do to others, we get the same in return.
If you have good intentions and feelings for others, you won't face negativity and problems in life.

Hi eileen!
Expressing ourselves through writing is one good way of relaxation and stress reliever. I would suggest that you write about something of not less than 300 words and submit it to some writing sites online. There are several sites online where you can submit your articles. Presently I am writing with Expertscolumn, wikinut and Yahoo Contributor Network.
Creating a blog is a good thing also. You can put a teaser on it and link it to your articles.
Have a great day!

Hi Eileen ! Writing is very addictive. It is innate and a passion . There are people who love poetry but doesn't know how to write one because writing is a gift , not all are blessed with it. If you have it then moves those hands because those might be an inspiration to others . You can touched other's lives through your work. A writer writes effectively if she writes with her heart. You don't need to be rich and famous to touch others , all it takes are those lines that you have in your heart.

Hi, I dream of becoming a writer too, and I do that on my blog. I know that I'm far from being good but I do it anyway, I really don't care if no one bothers to read my blog. I just love to write, and I thank the universe for internet and blogging. I took up accountancy in college. I was already in my third year when I realized I wanted to learn how to write and shift course to AB English, but I thought it was very impractical, and college was expensive. And I also thought what kind of job would be waiting for me if I finish that course. So I continued accountancy and graduated. I am not sure if I still can follow what my heart beats but at least I can do it here.
