Getting too much interest in reading about Wars and their outcomes

Hi All, Greetings for the day. Of late, I have been getting too much of interest in reading about various wars, the casualties that those wars caused, the pain, the turmoil, the amount of destruction. I read especially about the first and second world wars. even though I knew that these wars were very destructive, what pained me was to read the common people's sufferings. Loot, murder, ethnic cleansing, destruction of entire cities. It is so horrible. It causes me grief. Has it happened to you also, that you start reading too much about these things?
