How was your first speech in your life? were you comfort with that? I was feeling so uncomfort in my first speech, and was afraid when I stand on the stage and so huge of people who are waiting there to listen to my poem... my hand was shaking and I tried to hide all of that feelings . I was excited too.
how about you, how was your first speech? what did you feel?

Well I thought that many peoples will be put into same situation if we talk about our real first on stage speech performance.
I remember that my legs shaking so much that the podium started to shake as well because when I try to hold the mic stand it began to shake as well.
But funnily after I take a deep breath and holding for a while and change my view focus on the middle back center of the audience seats I feel much comfort and can continue with my speech better. Well not that smooth but I think it's acceptable :)

Oh, I remember my first speech! It was in the school and we had a class-wise program on every week-end last hour and students can participate in various items which will end in 1 hr. time and students would take part in singing, dancing, speech etc. But I was scared and never move ahed for a speech. As it was an on-going function, many students were didn't come up for any items and the teacher insisted that those who were not particiapted for a long time should compulsorily need to come and participate some items and I was opted for a speech after a long time.
I come upto the stage and forget everything! I was prepared something to say and when I come to the stage and shhhhhh! all are gone. I tried to read out from the paper which I prepared and even I could not read properly from the paper also. Any way, the situation still the same and I am unable to speech so nicely. But I can sing well and I used to sing and I would shiver for some time and later will be alright.
I got a compulsory training session on these days and I am skipping without furnishing the details as I heard that we are to supposed to speech and take part in various other items. And now feel so scared to complete the process as I am so bad to face the crowd on speach and singing is a different matter.

Hi ! I recalled when i had my first extemporaneous speech i wasn't able to sleep the night before the contest but i was able to deliver it well though bit nervous. I did my best because it is a contest and winners always comes from our section. The title of my speech was " Democracy ". I won the third place only but so happy and my classmates and whole class were so proud of me.

During my 1st speech I was very nervous with my whole body shivering. But that is a must for us to experience as we will be need to communicate more when we step into this society. After a few times you will adapt yourself to this situation and speak fluently.

I gave my first speech when I was in my collage. It was a very worthy and excited experience in my life. I remember that was the time when I just entered my collage, the first English speech for me. They all considered being NO. 1 is an unlucky thing because the judges may give a low score to the first person as they don't know what would happen to the next and then. But I reckon that being the first to speech will make me feel no fear and I would finish it as soon as possible no matter how nervous other competitors act. Fortunately, I obtained the Third Prize which encouraged me a lot in the future.

My first time talking in front of a group of people was in English and history classes and that was the only times. There is nothing exciting about it for me. I didn't sleep the night before knowing I had to do this. Then I was standing there speaking and shaking. I could hear the words coming out quivering. I was sweating and I'm sure red in the face too. It is the number one fear of mine and now at 56 years of age I know I probably will never be put into that situation again, thank God.

It wasn't really my own speech. But we were in our English class and we were made to recite the Gettysburg Address. I was so nervous, butterflies in my stomach, sweaty palm and my lips was almost shaking. But when I was able to deliver it without any mistake, well, it was such a relief! most especially being given a good rating by one of our terror teachers. I was in first year in high school then.
