What do you think about the AMD Jaguar Architecture which could be the main candidate used by Playstation 4 CPU?
I myself thought that with 8 cores CPU and lower price Sony could help reduces the console platform price, but well let's see if they are really gonna competes using price as the base of the marketing.

what makes me upset wth ps4 is its lack of backwards comparability. This new console just make ps1,ps2 and ps3 games obsolete. psn store titles sadly wont carry over to ps3. The first year of ps4 will be miserable as we dont have enough titles to play on the console. Backwards compatibility would have made its first year miserable I wont buy a ps4 until t has backwards comparability.

Hi Albert,
Finally someone with the same interest, haha. Well Sony had been quite into trouble with their consoles lately. You can see that after the separation again from Ericsson it's marked their bad planning on the mobile market.
Regarding the backward compatibility they had them coming on the PS3 Fat sometimes ago which support the PS2 but as you can see PS2 had specific hardware which can't be easily emulated using their new hardware that's the problem and to reduce the price they are forced to remove this piece of hardware in PS3 slim version.
I remember I bought the PS3 Slim 120GB for only around $350 with some bonuses such as additional controller and bundled original games some years ago.
There's an interesting topic however sometimes ago regarding Sony will release an additional add-on accessory which can be used to emulate the PS2 on any PS3 machine. But looks like it's never released into market.
As for the PSX titles I think it can be emulated easily in any new consoles they will had.
They usually had exclusive titles when releasing their new consoles. But as you have said unless the titles are so good that peoples really want to invest into that new platform many gamer still prefer playing their old games.
But for me that's not quite a problem because I had my Fat PS2 console which is quite endurable. One thing I though lacking in their spec is they said that even though this new console expected to be the next gen console I does not see any exclusive updates which distinguish them like Sony used to do. It feels just a H/W upgrade that's all. I really hope that they does not lose their touch here.
If you follow SAO (Sword Art Online) Anime you will be teased to think that when such gaming console will be available for us to play, haha.

I will try to wait until they have a model with backwards compatibility because we know the first year of ps4 will be boring. There will be not enough titles and I have a feeling we will be bombarded by first person shooters. I remember my first ps3 year and I dont have enough games to choose from. PS3 is very expensive then that most companies are afraid to release niche titles, Ps2 is my fave gaming era because of the diversity of titles to choose from. I will do buy PS4 but I will wait until the right model comes. I am still enjoying my ps3. Usually the best titles comes out n the end of the era of a console.
thanks for understanding my message above despite of my typos. Damn those typing errors are embarrassing. I was on a hurry when I typed them.

Sure no problem mate ;) I got you covered.
Yeah I will wait and see first. Because I've been kinda burnt with their PS3 game price which is well expensive. I think peoples are getting into mobiles consoles nowadays.
I also almost never touch my PS3 consoles now, played more on PSP since playing PS3 will take times and you can't bring them anywhere you go xD.

well, when the ps4 will be released,it will be just like the PS Vita now, with limited games but all with stunning graphics,as expressed b4 it is sad that it will not be backward compatible with ps3 and i think the price will be ridiculously high considering it's specs so i do not think i will be buying ps4 any soon
