Have you ever had an aching tooth, especially in unlikely places away from medicine? Tell what you did to ease the pain

Hi, I understand your question well.My brother was an el engineer on a marine tanker and he had a problem with a tooth. They had no dentist on board and were away from any port . The captain gave him a bottle of cloves oil. This is one of the remedies that should be present on bord for toothache.I have tried propolis. It also helps if the pain is not too strong.

Salt and water will help ease the pain in couple of minutes and also kill the bacteria . Those are things I think everyone have in their kitchen . Visit your dentist as soon as you get the chance .

Toothache is really terrible. All my teeth have been oulled out except 3 as a remedy. Now the 3 remaining ones are beginning to show signs of pain. I don't want the 3 pulled out. So thanks for the help.

I've had to watch my daughter go through this a lot lately. She's losing her back tooth and I mean it's breaking into pieces. Sometimes she can't stand the pain so she either puts warm soda back there or something really cold. One always helps. And yes I know that the soda is bad for your teeth when you do that because of the sugar but it helps sometimes.

I hope your daughter's teeth are now okay. With motherly care and advice, I'm sure she'll learn to attend to all basic dental needs.

Oh, I'd probably just go crazy if it happens to me in some remote place where I cannot find medicine. When I got a tooth ache, I went straight to the dentist. She checked what the problems were and prescribed some pain killer or antibiotics to ease the pain or reduce infections.

If toothache seize you in places far from the dentist, you'll just bear the pain until remedy comes near. I think it's good to bring palliative for toothave in pocket for trips lasting a day or two.

Ah i hate toothache because if you have it , like the pain reaches the head and in the ears. When i got an attacked of it and away from medicine what i did to ease the pain is i chew some small pieces of ice cubes . It will make the whole pain area numbed , at least for some minutes i was alleviated from pain.

Thanks for the pieces of ice cubes. Because of its coldness, I'm inclined to believe it would drive away pain from sore tooth.

I have. There is no other pain in the world. It.s like someone is digging a hole in your brain. I was on a vacation in a deserted place and no medical help near by. What helped me get trough the night was alchohol. You don't drink it You just hold it in your mouth next to the tooth for a few seconds and spit it out.
