Hello myloters! A few days ago I shared with you that my dogs were fighting. Many of you gave me really good advice how to handle the situation. Thank you for that.We have some progress. The dogs are getting along better now. You can hear them growl at each other from time to time, but they are able to stand close and sleep toghether. Look at the photo.I am really proud and happy. Maybe whith time they will become friends by learning each others boundaries

He he! I am glad you managed to have two dogs that get along together.
If they still growl at each other from time to time, don't let them unsupervised.
I wonder how do they get along if you are not there. If they are best friends in your absence, maybe it's you the cause of their disputes. If I were you, I'd let them alone in a room and I'd watch them so that they don't see me, to see how do they act in my absence. What do you think? Can you try this?

I tried this and it's too early to leav them alone . The puppy starts to bother the old guy. So they are undre supervision and when I am there they behave. I think that it ll get better when I am able to take them both for a walk. The puppy is forbiden to go out because he just got his vaccine and he is under carantine for the next 14 days.

The little one is the one who starts the "fights"!
I don't think he really wants to fight the old guy. In fact I am sure he only wants to play, but the Pekingese doesn't know how to play like a dog. (If I remember well, you said he had a problem as a young dog, so he probably wasn't properly socialized to his fellows congeners.) It is not likely to learn this now, but the puppy will eventually understand his attempts to play with the old guy are never successful.
Who is Dobby and who is Oscar? (to me, the Lab looks like Oscar, but I may be wrong

It's interesting to hear that. It's similar to people. When people who are not familiar with each other get together, they will have some differences , they will learn to go in peace.

hmmm sounds better now. ok i hope your dogs would be a friend. and don't fight anymore. i saw them in the photo and look like they was so close now.
