What is a philosophers stone? / myLot

I have heard many different stories on what this is. One being its an actual stone you can make out of anything and turn it into gold. Another being that its the highest achieved spiritual form. I just don't know what it is and think I would be better off asking around. maybe someone can inform me.

Hmm I really don't belive it exsists.But the philosophers stones is an alchemic legend Thanks to harry potter it got popular.While back every alchemic dream was to turn anything to gold.they tried to create it mixing difren chemical elements

I kinda knew that. I knew it was an alchemical legend but i was wondering really if it exsisted... But i have heard its more so a state of mind rather a physical achievement. But who knows? except whoever discovered it and who ever taught it right?
