Hello, guys.I haven't been in this website for a long time and I saw that almost each of you have a star with different colors and numbers in it,such as 7,8,14 and so on.I want to ask that what is this star about? When will a person get a star with a number in it?

Hello wwjwcom, Please read faq and guidelines carefully, fello mylotters have given you links already. That star with a number represents user's reputation on mylot, you will need a user rating of 100 before being able to receive a reputation (user rating is no. under bracket after your username), reputation starts from zero and goes upto 10, 10 is highest reputation which can be earned by a user..

thankyou for nice compliment :) Look, you got a "6".. you know my reputation was 10 a few days ago but it has been dropped to 9 because i made 2 discussions on a repeated topic by mistake..so take care while choosing a topic and responding to a discussion. Good luck!!

Hello my friend wwjwcom Ji, Well, I could grasp following :- STAR-RATING/RANKING In general, what Mylot says is,if you have more positive ratings, you will have better rated star. But,I think this is how the star rating most probably works. When a person reaches 100 posts,he is given a 5 star[50/100:-You can see this by keeping the mouse pointer over the star].Then, the number of positive ratings and negative ratings are calculated, and the final star rating is calculated. So,the number of posts doesn't have a direct influence. Whats that taken into account is,the relative value of the star compared to the number of posts. so,even if a person has 5000 posts, its converted to the base of 100 posts and the star rating is calculated. So,a general tip to increase your star rating is to comment more,as the number of posts will remain unchanged . Cheers.I hope,I am clear May God bless You and have a great time

This is incorrect and not how myLot explain it at all. Please read the links provided above and this discussion which helps to understand too: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2639481.aspx When a user reaches 100 they wikll indeed receive their own star but it will not necessarily start at a 5. The star depends entirely on how others rate our activity. It is not related to how long we have been here or how active we are either. That number beside your username is not a post counter and I really think that you should read those links to understand things, considering you have been here a long time and still misunderstand.

hiLamb and diana I was scolded by a newer fellow myhotter once for sayingg that rather than just accepting info from newer users they should go to the written guidelines and the FAQ's to get the true information. That above shows again how people can try to help but give all the wrong information.still best to check the guidelines and the faq's too

so far as I know there are stars to 10. I think I still need to read the most frequently asked questions.

Hi wwj,you too are going to get a star perhaps today or tomorrow. As soon as you complete 100 posts, you will be rewarded with a star that will indicate your rating and reputation. Now you have sent 97 posts. That means you are just three posts away from a star. When you get a star after completing 100 posts, take your cursor on the star and you will know what your reputation is here now.

The stars are rating out of 10 and measure your reputation. You will soon be getting a star with a number in it as soon as you complete your participation in three more discussions..

It will be enough to participate in only 2 discussions to reach 100 for this user. The user activity rating increases by 1 for each response and each comment (on seperate discussions). Therefore 1 response on 1 discussion and 1 response and 1 comment on another would be sufficient.

okay wwkwcom pretend you are starting over and read the guidelines and the FAQ's too as it will explain the rating system and the stars and the reps. surely you have noticed after all the posts the plus minus and exclamation points? we are told to rate each each other mylotters posts as we go . If you think the post is good and adds to mylot rate it positive, if you think it does not help rate it minus if you cannot decide leave it go and i f its breaking rules or is insulting hit he report key the exclamation sign but do read all the mylot info as it will answer all those questions. welcome back to my lot too. have fun here.the numbers go up and the best are nine and ten as they will help your earnings the most also your reputation is figured in with the earnings algorithm so rating does count and reps do count too. the information will help;you so do read it.

You'll get yours when your User Rating hits 100 which does not seem too far away. And the highest is blue star with 10 in it, there is no 14. Read about it here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx
