I recently bought this game (along with Pets) from the Origins website. They had all of their Sims games for 50% off! So far, I love this game! I've been an avid Sims player since the very first installment. My all-time favorite Sims game is Makin' Magic so I'm so excited to see what Supernatural has to offer.
Currently, I'm playing as a female witch. I haven't had the chance to use all the new features from the expansion pack. I'm still working on my house and decorating it. Haha
If you have this expansion, what are your favorite and least favorite things about it? What is your all-time favorite Sims game? Also, do you have any good tips, tricks, or cheats for any of the games? I've been trying to find some for Supernatural but can't find anything!

I would definitely recommend TS3 if you enjoyed TS2! :)

Have you used the Philosopher's stone yet, I used that to turn my most hated sims into gold statues,
I hate paparazzo on my game so I used the witches to punish them because they were just annoying as heck. y least favorite among the supernaturals are the werewolves, They just feel useless, they don't have much to offer.

The paparazzi is in nightlife, That expansion have a celebrity system, Its way too similar to showtime, the only thing that makes that expansion cool is you can make sims, live in condo units. Philosopher's stone is a lifetime happiness reward your sim can have in supernatural. I hate the zombies, they always destroy my garden.

Oh I see! The only expansions I have so far are World Adventures, Ambitions, Pets, Supernatural, Outdoor Living Stuff, and High End Loft Stuff. I'd really like to get Generations. Which expansion is your favorite so far? And how do you keep zombies away? I like my Sims to have gardens and I don't want the zombies ruining stuff! Lol

No, I don't even know what the Philosopher's stone is! Haha I'm still really new to Paranormal. It sounds like something I would use a lot though. Haha
Which expansion are the paparazzo on? I don't have all the expansions yet. I'm thinking they're probably on Showtime.

Really like the sims, started with the original as I picked it up at a yard sale and then purchased sims 3 (twice) without expansion packs. I've used it quite a bit and only now starting to look further into what is available. I do enjoy using the game like you in that I can become the little avatar person and that makes it more than just a silly little game for me. It is great and like it a bunch.
The only cheat I really know I use with caution because I do not like to ruin my game. The edit (is this considered a cheat?)allows us to control much of what goes on in the world and I use it when I really want to customize how the game works but careful not to be over dominating. Sometimes it is nice when you have challenges just like in real life, right?

Cheat sounds like something a sim with the evil quality would have.
Yes I've used edit to add money as well but it takes longer to do I suspect than the cheat. I add sims into the house and send them out of town later keeping their money of course. Why not it is rent money. (imagination working)

Are you referring to the town edit? That's not a cheat but it is neat to use. I don't use too many cheats anymore because it crashes my game sometimes. The one I use the most is 'motherlode' which gives your Sim $50,000 every time you put it in.

So have you played Supernatural enough for the zombies to annoy you to tears? That is definitely my least favorite part of the expansion. I never had the Makin' Magic expansion for Sims 2, so this was my first experience with magic in he world of Sims. I've only played as a female fairy and a male werewolf. But I think the witches have the coolest set of powers (I was disappointed with the werewolves). I think the coolest expansion out is Seasons. I did have that with Sims 2, and loved it then too! University is going to be really cool too if it delivers like the trailers suggest.

Yes, the zombies really get on my nerves! Especially when they eat up my garden. Makin' Magic was only available with the original Sims game, not Sims 2 but it's definitely my all-time favorite game. I can't get it to work on my new computer so I'm not able to play it anymore.
I don't have Seasons yet but I'd like to get it. I'd like all of them, actually. Lol I haven't seen any trailers for University but I've read about it on TS3 Facebook page and it seems pretty neat. I didn't really care for University on TS2 so hopefully this new one will be better.

I usually make all of my Sims gardeners. Lol That's one of my favorite things about the game, being able to grow your own food. I also love how you can grow random stuff with the Omni plant! That is so cool.
I think my favorite expansion for TS2 is Vacation. I was constantly making my Sims go on vacation. Lol
I'll have to do some more searching online about University to see what kind of features it has that the TS2 version doesn't have.

Yes! My fairy is a gardener and I'm always trying to figure out ways to design my garden so that zombies can't get in. It gets really frustrating. I know you can turn off the moon cycle, thus getting rid of the zombie problem, but that's no fun, is it?
Hah.. That's why I never played Makin' Magic with Sims 2 then. I didn't really play much before Sims 3 came out, didn't have many Sims 2 expansions or any of the original Sims games.
The University EP looks like its going to have more than the Sims 2 version, but you never know.
