Hope everyone is having a pleasant day. Right now I work from home for a company called West. My position is customer service related. I really enjoy working from home but hours have slowed down tremendously. I am interested in finding another work at home job similar to what I currently have processing phone calls. I welcome your opinions and feel free to share your experience and advice. If you work in a similar field which companies would you recommend. It is overwhelming trying to decide which company to apply with.

I have had several online jobs via odesk. You might want to try creating an account on that site and check out all the jobs that corresponds to your skills. Just make sure you deal with verified employers.

Once you apply, the employer will send you a message for a scheduled interview. The interview is usually via Skype. So make sure that you always check your odesk account to be notified right away. After the interview, the employer will either tell you right away if you are hired or if you need to wait for a day or two. Then work starts using odesk so that your working hours would be monitored.

Are the jobs generally full or part-time and how long do they generally last?

There are part-time jobs and full-time jobs, depending on the needs of the employers. The shortest period I had was good for a week. And then there was also one job I had for 2 months.

Wow, it’s great that you able to find some job which you can do from home. I’d love to be able to find a jobe which not required me to be trapped in traffic jam. Well the other job which can be done from home which I can think of is something like freelance, like making design or websites? Or if you have skill in translating, you may can take a freelance translating jobs.

What a relief it has been not having to deal with traffic as much. Sometime my field auditor position may require me to drive towards a location. Thats okay because I pick up assignments that are usually within 20 miles and usually take less than an hour to complete. As for translating my second language is Arabic, I never thought myself to be fluent enough. Do you have to be advanced? Is there much work for English translators I am fluent there.

I also like working at home. I am an online English teacher and I teach Koreans. I like working at home because I get to take care of my baby. If you want to teach online, I think it will be very good for you since you a lot of people are looking for teachers to are native English speakers.

So your working as an employee, good keep it up, It matter less on what company your working with, the most important is you. You knew yourself, your assignment and what you are doing. Being an employee just do your best serve the customer well to the best for if the Company grow then you will grow with the Company. Customer is the life blood of the Company and the employee is the structure being the structure you must be strong for other parts to lean on.
