Many times I have heard of Mystery Shopping. It sounds exciting, but I never have found out more about this. Today, I received an e-mail about Mystery shoppiong. It stated that you get $350 an assignment. You get two assignmetns a week. This sounds like it is rather a high payment. It sounds like it could be fun, but a lot of work. Has anyone tried this or know anything about it. I'm very curious.

YOu said yu made, $2, $10-12, and $30. YOu mean to say that they told you that you made this ammount, but never got paid---that's what it sounds like. Am I right?

Yeah there are some legit companies that do mystery shopping in areas. You just have to be careful and make sure that the company is legit. You can actually go online and search in order to get more information. I was going to try them, but I really do not think I have time to do it, but I may try one day. Good Luck to you.

Exactly. I also get some junk/spam email about mystery shopping. Most of it are definitely spammer so we better be careful about it and see if its real or legit.

I applied as a Mystery Shopper before through an agency here in the Philippines before but didn't pursue it. It sounds fun though. It stated on the responsibilities that the company will be giving out some task where I'll act as if I am a "real" customer and I will observe how the employee will act on my request or whatever the agency asks me to do and make a report about it.

I'd be leery of that email if you didn't request any information about mystery shopping. There are a lot of scams based around mystery shopping... sometimes the companies will send you checks or money orders and tell you to cash it, spend a bit for a "mystery shop" and then wire the rest of it back to the "company representative" by Western Union. Then a few weeks later you find out the check or money order was fake and your bank holds you responsible for the full amount of it...
I think the legitimate companies will offer something like a few dollars for doing the mystery shop, plus reimburse you for a meal or small purchase at the store you're shopping. $700 a week for mystery shopping doesn't sound realistic at all to me.

Real mystery shopping jobs also don't give or ask for money. U do the job and then u get paid. I know several ppl who are mystery shoppers and the legit companies don't offer cash before hand. Whoever does is scamming u. Don't fall for it however tempting it may be:)

Yea dont cash it no matter what! It 100% fake. If u do cash it at ur bank wait until it clears but DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO ANYONE. I did that and I didn't know it was fake or anything. It almost ruined my marriage. Every time I get something like that in the mail I send it right back but before I do that I mess with them. I tell them I know what they're up to and I like to think I scare them. I received a check for $999 and after I cashed out I waited a week and they called me wanting to know where their money is.
For one thing it's not their money. That's why they want u to go to ur bank and cash the check. Basically it's YOUR MONEY they're taking.
It all comes down to this: rip that "check" to peices and don't fall for easy money.
