Election 2013, to vote or not to vote....

Hello Lotters,
I remember back in 2010 were I promised myself not to vote anymore or probably not to campaign for some one since people are either hard headed or not open minded with other candidates, i guess am like that myself.
this time, am just sitting back and watch them explain their platforms. despite of some networks still being bias in my opinion am still thankful that i get to have a mind set on who's to vote, but it's not final. in fact, i might still not vote on the very last day.
besides, the location is now in our barangay and not in the school, so congested that they would really get you impatient. whom do you think should deserve to be in the senate?
Still have trouble making a final decision, they are all good talkers though, but delivering it is something different.
Have a Nice day

voting is a right but for me it's an obligation. i still have hope for our country and participating in the elections is one way. i just hate people who complain about the government when they did not vote in the elections.

Hello Iluvusabado, well some people are incapable of voting as most of them don't really care about it. either election or the not serious ones will prevail again for voting for the right person which is quite the opposite in the end.besides, we can't allow the non serious or blinded voters to have their way and simply win this thing.

Hello heeren, I am glad that the youth are smarter when it comes to choosing for the right candidate, but you never know because some people are blinded by popularity or money so you never know the credibility of the other people being voted some where.

Hiya LK,
Although I cannot vote in your Elections I would love to be able to vote in ours at the moment I cannot because I have got to fix up my identity card which they are giving me huge problems to get it done so at the moment I just think about who I would vote for.
Have already got in mind who I am going to vote for the next time round that´s if they want to fix the problem with my ID Card after all they caused it so they can fix it lol.xxx

Hello lovinganglesinstead, i guess that's not possible since your election is over and you have to wait a couple of years before you can vote again. perharps we all have our chances to pick on the party or candidate that you think can save your country from the financial crisis.

Hiya LK,
Anyway I cannot vote as such because I live a very long way out and I cannot get my ID Card renewed yet at all.
Things have got to be very complicated here so I just hope all the others vote for the right one but even then Spain is going to need a rescue plan as the Government is having a very hard time keeping all this economy in shipshape condition.
Brussels is giving this Country a very hard time won´t say more than that.xxx

I will vote because I dont want them to steal my votes, yup politicians steal the votes of those who dont vote. so eventhough I hate the roster of politicians I wont put this right to waste. Before its only us men who are allowed to vote, But women fought for the right to vote. Before only Filipino born people are allowed to vote but now immigrants like me can vote, It is a privilege that I have. Our ancestors fight for the right to vote and we should not waste it.
To think of it I hate majority of the mainstream candidate, does that make me a hipster.

I have not get a full list yet since I seldom am able to hear the platforms of the candidates since I am not able to watch TV during the day or even hear news from radio. When I get home I am either too tired if I happen to chance an interview. So I will maybe deliberate that with my wife when election day is really near. I just hope that our precinct would remain in the same school.
But I am definitely planning to vote this coming election as I want to exercise my right to it. It only happens once in every three years so I will try not to miss this one.

Hello Rsa101, that reminds me, i haven't gotten the full list of these politicians but i do remember some of them. let's all exercise our right to vote so that they won't erase us from the voting list, but i dont understand, we should have our chance to vote out. yeah, only every three years after a Presidential Election.

I wouldn't be able to vote this year. I don't really think my vote would matter anyways. I think they already have pre-programmed results (with all the things that are happening in our politics). I don't believe in the senate altogether, I think their function is to just get positions to be able to get more money from the country. I'm just tired of all the politics.
Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Hello Lydee, you should give it a try, it's our constitutional right to express ourselves and know who is the right person to win. you know i didn't care if my candidate wouldn't win or not. We are all tired of politics, no doubt about that but if we just gave up like the rest of filipinos, then they have won and will keep on killing this country until there is nothing left. . please give a vote one last try.

Hello kourdapya, well there's still two months to go before the actual voting of these politicians. two months for the others to prove that they can do better than most of usual and seasonal candidates. oh my i have forgot about watching one of the candidates during the interview with applikante program.

Hi,
Not going to the polling place on election day is to forgo your right as a citizen of this Old Republic. Maybe some don't realize the privileges of being a registered voter and a holder of a valid COMELEC ID. There are numerous occasions that I came upon somebody who can't even cash out their checks for lack of a government-issued identification card and it is the only time they would rush to the nearest post office to get one. However, a voter's ID speaks more than that. It is an expression of one's inherent right to be called "boss" by the highest leader of land, to make one's opinion heard and make a difference.
Abstaining from that exercise is still a right and the best one can do is to go to the polling place and sign his voters registration record, spoil his ballot for the PCOS not to read and go home. Failure to appear for two consecutive elections at one's polling place means cancellation of the name in the list of voters and having to go through the process of registration which is not done every day.

Hello rog0322, I didn't know your name in the polls could get cancelled? wow i guess i shouldn't abstain myself from voting. i don't wanna go through that again! besides, i just have to be wiser in terms of choosing the right candidates and not look at their commercials but instead look at their platforms and answers to the issues.

Every election, I just go to there to get a ballot and put lines in them. I do that so that my registration would be always active so I do not have to register again at comelec. But I have to admit that last election, I voted for someone which I thought could really make a change in our country, but I was so wrong. So this coming election, I will go back to what I used to do.

Hello Paper_doll, i don't think you have to register again since registration is one time only and you have to get your ID also. you just have to see the new comers and check their speeches and answers to issues. i think you will get the right track from there. well, it's still our right to chose whom to vote.

Well, I am Italian, and as perhaps you will have heard on 24 and 25 February, there were elections. I have done my duty going to vote, but the party to whom I gave the vote, trionfatd. In Italy the phenomenon has exploded "Beppe Grillo," which with its movement to five stars, earned third place! Many people, including journalists have predicted an Italy ungovernable. It will be true?

Hello Alberello, I have seen it in my Aunt D's discussion about it but i couldn't comment on it entirely because the political system is different compare to ours here. with regards to your country, only you and other italian citizens can answer all of that in time. have a nice day.

I haven't made up my mind whether I am going to vote this coming elections. If I do, I might be voting for only a few deserving people in the Senate and definitely, I won't be voting for the candidates who are related to those who are currently holding positions. Let's put a stop to these political dynasties. Just imagine a Senate with another Enrile, Estrada, Binay, Aquino and so on. They will have their own time in the future but they still have to prove their worth and not simply on the basis of relationship. However, these very same people are leading the surveys and have the best chances of being elected.

Hello yahnee, yeah i wonder why they are holding their position while still running for the senate? some relatives taking over work, that really sounds like political dynasty to me. i think these people do have guts to run because of their parents who are more politically involved. the surveys are mind manipulating and it's something most people believed will win. which is very sad on my book.

If you have the right to vote.. do it.
Thats the reason why all who dont vote, gripe when someone wins.
You vote, you can make a difference.

Hello maria peralta, actually it's a bit different from me. During the last 2010 election, i thought i voted for the right candidate, i was wrong and then i started whining as well regarding the issues that she had and corruption within the members of the family. then, last 2010 when i voted for the candidate who didn't win, i didn't even gripe with the current President because i knw i didn't vote for that person.

I have only voted once since I first had the right to vote, I refuse to vote, all the parties are hopeless and there are no strong candidates. Our country is in a mess, and I don't believe any party can make a difference, so I don't waste my time and effort into voting.

Hello wolfie, I can understand that is your point of view, in my case that was my thinking a couple of years ago about the person i voted whom won but i felt guilty afterwards because of her involvement in the corrupt activities. i hope now i could vote for the right candidates.

Hello zandi458, Yeah it seems we have similar time line for the said election. not sure if the politicians there are trying to be a hero or popular with regards to the issue of Sabah but it's also the talk here and some candidates criticize the current government for it's negligence and slow response. I have decided myself not to re-elect someone who has been there before.mainly because they just wanted to use the senate as their promise land and has not done anything to make the lives of people better.voting for them will just hamper our nation progress.so im voting those who was not in the senate before and hope this time that they could make a big change.

Hello Johndur, wow, i didn't realize that some one who's been there and be re elected can have repocussions, maybe i was thinking of some one voting them again back into the senate. i agree with richard gordon in his statement that the one who should be in the senate are the wisest of them all and not some celebrity that can't handle the pressure or debate into the topics that needs discussing and resolution.

It is never easy for anyone to vote for the right person to govern your country, but it is still a duty every citizen has to take it seriously. Of course in a democracy, it is not just you have a right to vote for your representative, vice president and president, you also have a right not to vote and not subject to pressure from anyone or group. If you still have trouble make up your mind who should deserve your vote in this early campaign period, it is perfectly fine for you to wait for the last moment to cast your vote after some deep thought and analysis. Even if you decide otherwise later, it is also alright to just sit back and watch the outcome of the election from your evening news broadcast without casting your vote.

Hello Lampar, I wanted to take it seriously the problem back in 2010 is that i woke up from the realization that most people don't. i don't want to wait just to cast my right to vote again and don't like them using it for their cheating purposes. we don't usually watch the results in the evening but they always report the news in case of cheating or killing because of election.

I have not decided yet who among them will I vote but it's sure I will practice that right. I just hope, that vote of mine will be counted as what it meant to be. As you have said they are all good talkers but once elected, most of them forgets everything they have said.

Hello stanley, that's good for you there, you have all the time that you need in order to choose the one you need to win the election. there's one politician that i believed would actually not forget the whole thing, but we may never know for sure. most politicians do forget the whole thing after election, but can't you blame them, they're just human.
