This may seem to be an odd question, but I want others to ponder this. They say their God is all Mighty. So how mighty is he? Is he mighty enough to make another God? Along with it, is this the purpose of life. In the scriptures, Jesus was ask about what kind of person that we should be. He said that we should be perfect as Our Father in Heaven is perfect. We should be perfect. Also, Jesus is our Savior. He is to save us from our sins if we believe and do what he says. So if we are saved, what point do we have to be to be saved. Any thing less than a God is not perfect. Are we to become a God? A person who loves you should want the best for you. What is the best for us? Wouldn't being perfect and being a God be the ultimate thing for everyone? So you see where I am going with? Many will fall short, but for those who repent and overcame, could be given Godhood as the reward. Anything short that is a damnation. So to blow your mind even more, is this how Our Heavenly became a God?

hello Fatcat44! my God is a jealous God! He does not like any other God before Him and it is included in His ten commandments that He does not want us to bow down or to worship any other God but my God is such a loving God that He has allowed the existence of other Gods to continue for the sake of His beloved children who are so hard headed and stubborn.

hi debrakcarey! a very well known saint ( i cant remember who ) once said that the human mind is too small to be able to understand/grasp who GOD truly is. its just like digging a hole on the beach ... soon the waves will come and fill this hole with sea water but the sea is to big to fit into this small hole. so its better to just believe and be like a child and bask in the mystery of His great love without doubt and fear.

That is Blessed Augustine. He wanted to fully understand God, and one day he sees a child digging a hole in the sand.He asked he kid what he was doing there and the kid tells him " I want to move the sea into this hole".

Quite a discussion! I just have a few comments. First, when Jesus said that we should be perfect as our Father is perfect, the word used means "mature" or "having understanding." Perfection is beyond us as long as we are on this earth. (All have sinned and come short of the glory of God... there is none righteous, no, not one, etc.) Second point is that Jesus is our Savior when we accept the sacrifice He made on the cross. The point we have to be at is trusting that sacrifice to cleanse and keep us. There is nothing more we can do to be saved or to be more saved because Jesus did it all. Now, God will sanctify us after that, and that means that He will change us to be more like Him - more mature and understanding. Not perfect, not HIM, but LIKE Him. There's a big difference. There is only one God and He will tolerate no other gods. That is a theme that goes throughout the scriptures. We are not to become either a God or a god. We are to become at one with God. That is where perfection lies. He did not "become" God. He always was and always will be the One God. One more thought: "...the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men." (1 Corinthians 1:25)

What would be the point of becoming God? How many Gods do we need? I'm not here to argue and you're entitled to your belief, but I don't agree. Yes, our Father wants what's best for us. Do you have any idea what it would be like to be God? To endure the insults and hatreds toward you without taking revenge, to offer mercy and love over and over again and yet again. To be patient to the 9th degree. To be responsible for Everything and Everyone and that includes the everythings we don't even know about. No, thanks. I will be content to praise Him forever and ever just like the Bible says.

Isaiah 43:10 10 “You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.

No God is God, and he was God from the beginning, is now, and ever will be God. But a ray of his sparkle shines in the heart, soul and mind of every human being. And is up to us to make him shine on us. The life maybe like the coal that dirts all God splendor. And helping each other to clean God´s light is charity. We help and receive help to develop us as long as we have life. Blessings Fatcat (what tender and lovely name!)... dainy

Thanks for the compliment on the name. Question. What beginning. To have a beginning means that at one point he did not exist but start up. So how did he become God in the beginning. If there is a beginning, there is could be an end. So for God to become God at the beginning, he was not God before that. So the does this imply that the beginning, as reverence was when God become a God. So before the he was not a God, and he could have been a person like us, worship his God (or his Heavenly Father to be more reverent.) Then as he became God, he was able to start creating (or organizing) and create us, the earth and our lives that we can progress and have the potential to become a God. Where we could start creating and giving people live, and the potential to become like God. Wow, what a concept.

Did God have a Beginning? The following answer is derived from scripture. For a good logical argument related to this subject, try our writing called Fatheism. To answer this question I will let the Bible speak as it says a lot about this subject. Titus 1:2 a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, The above verse shows us the God was before time and He cannot lie. Psalms 147:5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. This verse shows us that God's understanding has no limits. Psalms 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. 2 Samuel 22:14 The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. Genesis 14:19 and he blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. Hebrews 6:13 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself. The above verses show us that there is no one higher than God. 1 Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:15 which God will bring about in his own time God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. These verses above show us the He is the only God and He is eternal and immortal. Revelation 10:6 And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay! The above verse shows us that God lives for ever. Isaiah 44:6 "This is what the LORD says Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. The above verse shows us that there was no one before God and no one after him and it confirms that He is the only God. 1 Chronicles 29:10 David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, "Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Revelation 4:8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." The above verse shows us that God is in the past, present and future. This is but a small sample of verses in the Bible that talk about the eternal state of God. There are literally hundreds of verses and this is a common teaching and theme throughout the whole Bible. Humans imagine all sorts of vain imaginations such as who created God or God himself must have a God and his God probably has one too and so on. We tend to do this because we judge God from our own experience, meaning that we say He must have a beginning because we and everything we see has had a beginning. But God is outside of all that, in fact he is even outside his own creation and he also existed before time. King Solomon one of the wisest men who ever lived wrote the following in 1 Kings 8:27 "But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you.

At what point in their lives do kids realize that they have become their parents?? To understand God, you must release the petty things of mankind. Ruling, power, and control turn out to be the least intelligent way to be. THINK ABOUT IT!! Great discussion. It brings out a view for people to consider. This leads to God.

why Gos should make another God? does your father make you another father? God is the only one, he is not weak, or does not have any thing less on him to make any other God and make partner for himself as he does not need help, he is the one who creat every thing from nothing. let's talk about human, we have parents. if we lose one of them, can anybody else be in the place of our real parent? then how we can talk about the creator of universe something like that? God love us and for that want us to be real human by doing good to reach to his heaven and be far from evil, which always make us in troble and force us to think wrong.

extremefun, Think about it, my father did make another father. I am a father of children, so he did make another a father. If God it is the perfect one, perfect in happiness, and caring, would a perfect caring father want his children to grow up like him?

" Is the mighty God you worship mighty enough to create another God " --- If the mighty God you are talking about is the God of the bible,, then the answer is yes. In fact, God of the bible made Moses a god to the israelites to lead them ( Exodus 7:1-2 )

" i thought moses was a prophet, not a God " --- Moses was a prophet, and at the same time, God of the bible made moses a god to lead the israelites, and his brother aaron became his prophet, have you read the verse i supplied? If God of the bible made moses a god, i think there is no reason to not believe that moses became god,, although he is not as almighty as the God in the bible,,

This is not they say, read your bible and and gain knowledge. God is mighty enough that He alone created the heavens and the earth. There is but one God. Only one God is needed. No one is perfect but the Father. We should live in accordance to Jesus. He was sent here to give examples for how we should live and worship. So get your facts straight, NO ONE is perfect. The holy bible are our instructions on how we should live. Jesus is the instrument, our connection to The Holy One, none gets to the Father except through Jesus. No one can save you, that is the reason why you should fully understand what you read. Romans Chapter 10:9 tells us how we can be saved. It is not something that you earn. No other gods are needed, one is enough to supply our needs, if you trust Him to do that. You see what happened to satan when he wanted all to worship him and rule the heavens? He was cast out of the heavens.
