Recently my boss is soo rude to me that whenever I talk to him he just bashed at me. I don't say a thing because I don't want to ruin my reputation. I'm a good employee and always have been. We have soo many things going on right now within our company but still that doesn't give him the righ to. I feel like 'unappreciative' and lost my confidence to work hard. Every morning when I wake up I just feel like not going or just quiting. I don't love my work anymore at the same time I need to work to survive. I did apply other jobs but so far nothing. What should I do? I can't stand my boss or work for him any longer. Please advise anyone!!!

Well, people are emotional beings. They tend to get so emotional when something is bugging them and express their emotions freely. However, they always forgot the fact that everyone is emotional beings too. So when your boss release his negative emotions on you, you will reflect such negative emotions back to him. So, I can understand why you get discouraged to continue working for your boss. I would have felt the same if I were you.
My advised is for you to look for a new job, there is always job available if you know how to tackle one. Then you should express your feelings and disappointment before you leave the current job. Perhaps it will ring a bell in your boss and make him treat other employees better.

It is kind of twisted and lot of reputation at stake and just stand by and wait for the moment to make an impression

Don't worry bosses like that will get them no where in the end. Just keep doing your job and be sure to save lots for yourself. So if ever you decide to quit and look for another job, you will have some money for yourself.

This sounds like a very unnerving situation fpor an employee to be in. When you work for someone you are there to perform certain duties and accomplish the job. It does not give the employer the right to be rude to you in the process. I would make a stand and find out what you could do to turn the circumstances around. You can not be performing your job to your satisfaction if you have this kind of environment to work in. Best of luck to you.

well, do not give up, try to apply for better job and till that time, be in your job, try to talk in another way with you boss, like add some positive and effective words, like I know you are the best boss ever and ..... whatever that works for him,,, because you know him more. who your boss in that office appreciate more? try to mimick and learn from that. and every time you can, make yourself relax and close your eyes, imagine your boss, talk and behave so nice with you and you are happy. it will works if you practice on that.

You need to weigh things- either you stay with your rude boss to be able to keep the job or quit now and wait for the next job that you will be offered. It is tough looking for a job these day because of too much competition. I suggest that you just do the best that you can and if your boss would still be that rude, report him to the administration. Just do make sure that he is really making stuff that you see is way below the belt.

Well, I know, unfortunately, very often the boss they are rude with the workers. Unfortunately the world of work today is so, I understand that is an injustice, but what can you do? Above all you must sometimes considered lucky to have a job. For example, I unfortunately find myself at the age of almost 38 years still unemployed! If you have the opportunity to change jobs, then in that case you might think for a moment the possibility to improve your position. Otherwise, and I say this with regret, we must keep the place you have, sometimes enduring the "insults"!

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation very well and i know u must have got disappointed with whatever happened with u in the office. Listen to me carefully take this situation as a challenge for u and work hard and do not think about anything else. many things will distract u n u should not get distracted by them.

Next he bashed at you for no reason, address him calmly (to the point that he will get embarrassed with his attitude) that while you respect his authority and appreciate his leadership and correcting your work, it offends you as a person with the manner that he addresses you. And that if it isn't too much to ask that next time, maybe you two can sit down and talk about his problems with you in a calm manner so you both can think straight of a solution to correct the problem, then that will be both beneficial to you and the company. You have no choice but to bear it for a bit more until you are sure that you already have another job waiting for you. At this point, it will be a wrong move to quit without an backup plan.

I can actually relate on your situation. Me too, I don't love my work anymore. But quitting or resigning is risky because the competition outside is at high. Are you working by contract? I feel the same way that not being appreciated or in short you're like an invisible person at work for your hard work. Though we're not the only one who really hate our job, but we can't just easily quit nor leave because of some commitments. Is your boss really the manager or just the supervisor? Because if not, maybe you try to open it to the superior because sometimes they are just waiting for you to voice out. And since there's no assurance of other application, just keep do things that will help you to be busy, just keep on trying too on sending your resume and sure enough that time will come it will be accepted, and don't forget to pray to keep you motivated because maybe there's a reason for what is happening. =) Let's just stay positive even we're surrounded with negatives.
