Well, today is the visitation and memorial service for the not too close friend of mine that passed away this past weekend. I'm really having a hard time with this one because I would like to go and pay my respects for him. However, I don't really know anyone in his family except for his little brother and I know that it will be his family that I'd be there for as opposed to being there for him because he is really no longer there.
When it comes to the death of a friend, do you tend to be the kind of person that does attend the funeral because of the fact that they were your friend, or are you the kind of person that would shy away from it because of the fact that you don't know that person's family? Also, when was the last time that you've been to a funeral?
For me, the last funeral that I went to was actually three years ago and it was when one of my very best friends passed away. She and I were very close and I was also pretty good friends with her husband. In fact, there were several pictures that they'd chosen to display at the funeral of myself and my daughter with Reesee and they didn't even know if I'd be coming to her funeral as it was several hours away from home.
