It sure was not yesterday! We got hit with 16.9 inches of swow! Thw weather men said 2 to 4 inches the day of and the few days before the storm hit! Then when the snow would not stop the weatherman were like they could not explain why we got so much snow! So like everyone else I had to dig out! My porch was shoveled off by a neighbor which was nice! I slipped on the steps going down when I was taking trash out! Mostly feel on my butt and right thigh! Then I spent at least an hour digging out my car! Today I'm worn out and sore from that job! I did not have to go inot work! We had a snow day and I am glad I able to stay off the roads! The roads were very awful I heard! I do have friend who took his snowblower in on tuesday to be fixed! When we got all the snow he was not happy! He had to shovel instead! I hope this is the last major snow storm of the winter! I am getting tired of this!

I can see where it would get very old. We had our bout back in January and I wouldn't even drive during the worst of it. Luckily I am retired. I remember the last job I had we had one snow day in five years! I hated the mornings traveling to work. Never could be sure there wasn't black ice on the roads. I was working at a location that was just a straight show down the road and took me 8 minutes to get there. Then they moved to their new location and it took me 35 minutes and on bad road. Stressful!!

When I first started working at the college, there was no such thing as a snow day! Everyone, but management had to come in! If you didn't you were not paid! I had to go in! I could not afford to lose money! Then the policy was changed to you got paid double if you came in,if you wanted. If you stayed home nothing! Then they finally changed it to make sense and no one loses out! We now we have two teams. If the school is closed and managment wants kitchen help to come in,the teams take turns. The team that doesn't have to come in,gets paid no matter what! So far the snow days have been so bad, students who work in the kitchen do the kitchen staff jobs on those days! One superviser, who lives like 1/2 mile away will drive in and supervise the students. The older I get the more I hate driving in bad weather! I am ready for spring!

We were supposed to get some of that storm and we lucked out and really got about an inch. I actually love the snow but I am so ready for spring at this point. I don't mind shoveling but then again, I don't usually have much to shovel. I just have a short walkway and of course, shoveling around my car so that I can move it for the plow. I remember one really bad storm a few years ago where I went out and it took me so so long to clean off my car only to find that I had cleared off the wrong car which happened to be the same color as mine and parked right next to mine. I bet that neighbor thought I was a nice neighbor too.

Wow, your neighbor really is very nice!! Next week where I live I heard that we are supposed to get 30 and 40 degree weather all week and no snow. I do like the snow but at this point, I am so ready for spring. I feel as if I'm cold all the time.

My neighbor is nice! He also snowblowed and shoveled out behind the park cars the parkinglot which is next to the house I live. There are only 5 cars. My landloard finally hired a snow plowing company to plow are asile like a few years ago! I am so glad because before this not everyone snowblowed or shoveled their part of the aisle! Making it extremely difficult and forever to get out the aisle! I can'tremember how many times I got stuck! It happen to many times! I heard the roads were really bad. The roads in the city were still bad when I went out to buy milk late in the afternoon! Now the weatherman are saying more snow this coming week. How much they had not idea as of yet! I am so ready for spring!

Gosh that sounds awful blue. here am I, I have never even seen snow! I can't imagine living in the conditions you describe...like shovelling snow from paths and driveways and digging out your car. I can not imaging having to drive on slippery snow filled roads. How do you do it without sliding everywhere? Do many people die in such cold conditions?

We've been lucky to some extent.....not much snow at all. I am glad you didn't have to go into work. Last week we did get 6 inches and I had to go in and the roads hadn't been done yet....it was kinda scary. I don't have far to go though so driving there wasn't too bad..just worried about getting stuck someplace!

The roads were extremly bad on Wednesday! One of the supervisors went in and she reported they had only plowed one side of the road when she went in to work! I was getting bored and needed milk so I went out late in the afternoon. The roads were awful in town! They were still plowing and salting! With all the snow around trash was not picked up on wednesday and most people I know, including me,got no mail! Now they saw nest week we will get more snow but they can't perdict how much just yet! I am sick of the snow!

it is always best to have your blowers serviced at the end of the season that way they are ready for the next season the same applies for lawn mowers weed eaters and leaf blowers or any gas powered unit this way you can avoid any delays hope that your feeling a little better after your slip be careful be safe

My friend took his snowblow in becasue the weathermen told us we would only get a few inches of snow! Well we got just shy of 17 inches! My friend had so much snow to shovel his neighbor was nice enough to help him out! I am sure he won't do that again! With so much snow we got no mail and no trash pick up on wednesday! I am so ready for spring now! With my slpi and fall,I do have a bruise on my right hip. I was very stiff and the sore side Thursday!
