my mom said she can cook the plaintain for me. but i say i will just cook on the pan. but she wanted to boil on water so i won't use any oil for my diet. and ask why i should i still fry it. i said it is just a bit of oil so that the plaintain won't stick to the pan. she said don't grill it with charcoal it is time consuming. i don't do that grilling of any chicken or fish because she doesn't allow me that is why i just cook it on the pan with little oil as much as possible.

I prefer to fry mine as well, but I have also baked them in the oven before. I think boiling them is okay if you are making a dish that calls for green and ripe ones mashed together, but nothing beats frying them.
