She may be my mother but she is also my best friend. She lives in Florida i live in Missouri but we chat as much as possible on face book and on the phone. When she lived near me we went out to lunch or shopping or the movies together. She was always there for me growing up and always helped me with my problems. my mother is my best friend as well as my mom. Is your mom your best friend? Are you close with your mom like i am to mine? I don't know what i'd do if she wasn't around anymore.

You are lucky! I don't have that relationship with my mother. My mother as issues, and she makes other pays for it. When I was living with her she didn't make me food to eat, and we barely had food. My father leaved her when I was younger, they divorced. He was around for most of the time. My father later took me in and I didn't speak for my mother for years. Now we talk, and sometimes meet, we have a good relationship.

I think the mother is everything, can not be expressed in words. I had been living with her mother, how I feel the warmth and affection he gave. Sometimes when I'm away and within a period of time when I feel I miss the mother, not infrequently I always shed tears.

It's great to have that kind of relationship with your mom. My mom and I were friends but never did anything together. She's gone now. Looking back, would have been nice to spend more time with her but she was preoccupied with personal issues. Sad actually. I do have a good relationship with all of our kids. Two of them live near us so we go places together. One daughter lives in another state and I miss her terribly. From one St. Louisian to another, continue to enjoy time with your mom.

That is such a loving relationship you have with your mother. Not all could have the same kind of relationship with their mothers. I for one, was never that close to my mom. I grew up having that "fear", so I always try my best not to commit any mistake, coz when I did, she could get mad like a DRAGON!

Yes,my mom was my best friend, but now ghe's no more.My best friend- my mom- is gone.So is my dad.He was my best friend too,but at the same time a 'bully.'Sorry,May be I should not have used this word.Actually I mean,he was a strict disciplinarian. And when we used to seek refuge to hide ourselves to escape being punished by him,it was my mom who came to our rescue. She used to save us,but at the same time advise us to carry out what my father said.I used to share all my problems with her.It was something that I could not do with my dad.My mom was a quintessential mother- sweet, tender hearted, loving and caring. He was my best friend.
