this is what i'm really afraid to happen. the royal army of the sultanate of sulu and the malaysian forces have clashed friday morning. of course they are pointing at each other's camp who fired first. according to official statement of an official in malaysia, there have been no reported casualties contrary to what the sultan claimed that 10 were killed on sultanate's side. i believe we are all hoping for this dispute to end in a peace agreement. i wonder what will be P-noy's decision on this matter.

It is indeed scary. I was hoping that our President would do something about it but until now he remains silent. The media has been interviewing Datu Kiram's side and they have stated that the President hasn't made an effort to talk to them until now. I don't watch TV that much but from what I am hearing on the news and live reports my parents has been watching ever since last Tuesday, this is what I know.

I wonder how can the President intervene in this situation when he is busy with the campaign for the 2013 election. but i strongly hope that he would just leave the sortie and take care of this international crisis with Malaysia. would have been cool if both marcos and our muslim brothers and sisters would have taken it altogether, too bad because Marcos had another plan and it failed in the end.

Sad to say but we have a weak government who can't even serious matters in their hand.

i've read that in 1962, the sultanate of sulu gave the philippine government full authority for the claim of sabah. so sad that nothing happened about it with the former presidents.

Oh my does this mean the Sulatanate of Sulu did not vacate the place? What was his problem anyway for not vacating the place? And why would he claim that place as his well in fact it wasn't his in the first place? This is not good. This is a big problem. And this is another trial and test for our President.I am wondering what will his move be..

The Sultanate of sulu does owned Sabah by title because of the documented evidence that the malaysian government is paying the sultanate royal family. maybe they should just increase the rent to 200m ringgit as recommended by their politicians, though at first it's ridiculous, i think i don't find it comfortable to them being in charge of sabah. i don't even know what their constitution is.

I am not really sure but I think Sabah is owned by the Sultunate of Sulu because they have a contract with the past Datu's of the place. The Malaysian government is paying the Sultanate of Sulu for the island but the Datu Kiram would like to have Filipinos live in that place as well because anyway, it's there's in the first place.

a lot of filipinos are actually living in that place. they use sabah as a way of illegal entry. i think some of them have been deported years ago. though i believe there are still a lot of pinoys there.

As i have expected it,it will end up in a fire fight.because they dont want peaceful negotiations.i just hope it all end up with less casualties. On the presidents side,i think he just handed them over to let the malaysian authorities solve the problem.

Hello Iluvusabado, I think this is just sad knowing the sultan's men refused to leave the country and now it got into the situation were there is bloodshed everywhere. this is really heating up territorial disputes, the government should have talk to kiram earlier and present the case to the international court. we will need the malaysians help in regards to the chinese govt's asian sea domination

The question that lingers my mind now is, "Who authorized Kiram to own a private army?"

I don't feel good about this. I hope there would never be any more troubles after this one.

Yeah, I sure hope so. I just don't want news like this. It just terrifies me of what can possibly happen if they would not meet half way.

That is some tension there between those two forces. As far as I know, both camp is really very solid in their ground as if no one will really give way. Hope it will turn out fine and there will be no casualties in those exchange of fires.
