MyLot (and a number of other sites as well) only allow one account per person and only one person is allowed to access that account. From the Terms (which you have read, of course?): "You agree not to use the account, username, or password of another member at any time or to disclose your password to any third party." Other sites usually have similar clauses in their Terms.

From the FAQ: " My family wants to sign up for an account but we only have one computer. Is it ok for my family to use the same computer? Yes, there can be more than one user that uses the same computer. Please make sure that each user has their own account, as well as their own PayPal or eGold account. Your accounts will be closely monitored due to the potential for abuse. " source:http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq1.aspx#6

Thanks for pointed this out owlwings, my statement above was so wrong! .. sorry Can you point out any option that is available for people that might share the same computer and ip address such as in a family. There are couples on Mylot correct? Do they get separate computers and service providers. If you read this thanks again for all your informative comments appreciated.

If you look under preferences account affiliations , you'll notice an area to fill in if you have a shared paypal account ( so I guess that means you can share paypal you just have to let Mylot know about it?) and a section under that to fill out if you share a computer with another member.

You mean like husband and wife or two friends in different locations using the same account. I can not see it being against the rules. It might be a little confusing for members though since we can get used to one persons style of writing. Interesting name by the way Admin

It is quite definitely against MyLot's rules. Other websites may not state it in quite the same way, but usually they specifically forbid the sharing of accounts. See my response below.

Thanks again owlwings and cupkitties for pointing out what is proper on mylot regarding more than one user on a pc. I should have taken the time to research that one and not simply blurt something out, sorry about that. The correct answers get explained below. One person per account. Makes sense. I think there is enough information in the faq's and guidelines to ensure correctness and happy there is another resource as well to pull on. - - - Available helpful members that tell people how things work on mylot if anyone gets confused.

You've actually opened up a can of worms with this discussion. But to put it in short, if there's 2 people accessing a site that pays to socialize like myLot does, then it becomes weird for others following some profile if there's more than 1 person posting from it as mentioned in one of the posts above. At the same time, if you're doing it just for money, then, although its deceptive, who's to say anything.

What owlwings said and I just want to point out, sharing accounts is never a good idea. Even if you know the person. On another site I visit, people do this all the time. There isn't a day goes by that someones isn't complaining about their compromised account. Majority of the time the culprit is a relative, lover or "best friend" who was being allowed to use their login. Same thing can happen on any site.

You can have as many accounts. myLot rules are that you should not have 2 or more myLot accounts. You should have just one myLot account.

Its not wrong. I mylot with different devices all the time. As long as you have one account and thats the only one you use. You shouldn't have a problem

I dont think it is wise though to have another person open your account because that would jeopardize your reputation.
