How often do you visit art exhibitions? Are there any galleries in your area? What is the most interesting art exhibiton that you have visited? And what is the most unusual exhibition you have visited? When I moved to this island two years ago I visited all of the art towers on the island. There are 12 of them and each tower has been transformed from a electricity tower to an art tower and 12 different artists have decorated the towers. Some of the towers are quite interesting. There are also some art galleries on my island, but I haven't visited all of them yet. In a the large city on the neighbour island there are two art museums. One of the them a museum where they pick the artists, and they only accept professional artists or wellknown artists. The other museum is different and amateur artists are able to exhibit their art there if they pay for it. I have visited both museums and they often have new exhibitions. One of the most unusual exhibitions I have seen was an exhibtion where the room was completely dark. Inside the room there were artificial flowers, but we couldn't see them. We could only feel them and I was always afraid of walking into something because I couldn't see where the walls or the doors were.

Visiting museums and art exhibitions is not our habit. We usually travel or party if we have free time. In fact, I don't know how many museums in my city :D

Many of my friends are like you and they they prefer to spend their free time on other things. I am an artist myself, and I find it interesting to visit the exhibitions. I like to see the paintings, drawings, sculptures etc that other people have made and sometimes I find new inspiration for my own art that way. I don't invite my friends to come with me, because they don't find it interesting at all I live on a island and there a some galleries and art towers here, but I have to drive to the neighbour island if I want to visit one of the large art museums.

I don't visit art museums, galleries very often I visit them about once per year. But, I would like to visit them more often, but the problem is that I live in little city and all art galleries and art museums are on capital city or in big cities. And one of the best art museum now is closed for next 3. years, because technical improvements. But I will visit it soon as possible after opening again.

It is the same situation here. On my island there are no large art museums or galleries. You only find them in the large cities like the city where I was born. When I visit Copenhagen I like to visit some of the art museums in the city or in the area around the city. In the second largest city in my country there is also an interesting art museum, but it is not close to my home so I am not able to visit it that often. That is a pity because it is a really interesting museum with many different types of art exhibitions. Enjoy your visit to the art museum when it opens again

We try to go to museums and galleries as often as possible. We are family of artists - and we feel fortunate we live in a city where art is all around (Los Angeles, CA). The closest gallery to us would be within our local university - in fact, they have 2 main galleries and we can always stroll around to see student works in the various window displays. Recently we visited LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) . . . although we have a bunch of books with the artists works printed in them, there's nothing like seeing the real thing! Oh gosh, it'd be hard to pick the most interesting art exhibition that I visited - there are so many! A few weeks ago I did see some work that was based on shadows . . . portraits were created out of little pegs onto a base . . . depending on which way the lighting was, it would show a different portrait! The most unusual - hmmmmm - well, it wasn't exactly an art exhibition, but there was a set up like a museum - but it was all in neon in a dark room. There were neon paintings of people in a frame - but once you passed it, the people in the painting would jump out at you - hee hee.

I am also an artist and I love to visit the art museums and the galleries in my local area. On my island we have the art towers, but we have to drive to the neighbour island if we one of the visit one of the big art museums. In those museums they change the exhibitions quite often and it always interesting to see the new ones. It is great that you have easy access to art in your area. The art based on shadows sounds interesting. It reminds me of some pictures that I once saw. The pictures look different when you looked at them from a different angle, I thought that they were amazing. I would love to see the neon paintings that you described, they sound unusual and interesting.

I don't go to museums very often. I like photographs exibition and aways have my camera on my purse. I like Michelangelo's documentaries, art exibitions and sketches. He was really a genius. I like to recycle materials and do different things, there are some exhibitions around my area of sculptures and graffiti.

I like photography exhibitions, too. One of the museums on the neighbour island often has new photo exhibitions and some of them are very interesting. I don't always carry my own camera, but sometimes when I notice an interesting place I return to the place some days later and bring my camera. Which type of photos do you like to take? I have seen some of Michelangelo's sketches, but I don't know his art that well. I think that it is a great idea to recycle materials and turn them into other things. I recycle the pictures from old magazines and use them in my art.
