Team was playing another school...They had flag Bandanas tied on and were cheering their school to victory. The principal (Glen Lipman) called them racists and made them take off the bandanas. They complied but, then started chanting USA,USA...So they were suspended for five days for being racist.
The District Superintendent of Schools (Gabe Soumakian) backed up the principal saying that they were displaying underlying racist tones by their actions...The boys used no derogatory remarks or inappropriate comments...Three were white and 2 were hispanic. Where did they get racism from this?

As I said...White folks and Americans must be ashamed of their heritage...And favor must go to those who come here illegally...
I have read several articles about colleges and universities all over the states making students sit through condemnation sessions about their White heritage and how evil Whites are...The real problem...The teachers are all WHITE...

@Adoniah; Well... if we want to be historically technical... we are all here illegally considering the first people to live on and have these lands were what we now call "Native Americans".
I have not heard of one college or university who make students sit through condemnation about their heritage at all. I live outside a college town and can guarantee that they don't. Of course, I live up north so...
I think perhaps you should change your statement to Americans are possibly being forced to be ashamed of their heritage. America has many diverse groups of people and while this incident isn't respecting that and calling it a racist issue, the color of someone's skin doesn't matter much. You are either an American or you are not. It is really that simple.

Is it wrong that I am hoping there is more to the story than that? Maybe one player said something bad or used their body language in an inappropriate way or well anything. I wouldn't call chanting USA racist at all. I might find it bad if they were supposed to be having a friendly match with another country's school team but based on your post it wasn't. I mean what on earth is wrong with chanting that. The superintendent should be fired.

This high school and the other were made up of large hispanic populations. One must never make someone of another country feel bad about their heritage by being proud of one's own...Americans especially white Americans mus repent for being white, free, and American.

Even then... I mean they are here, they shouldn't have a problem with this. I don't think everyone thinks white Americans must repent for anything like that. There are plenty people of all races who are racist. I have a very mixed and diverse family some of which don't speak english very well but all of whom are legal citizens and they have no issues with someone chanting USA or think it is racist at all. They are all happy to be here. No one should make anyone feel bad and I could see if it was excessive and disruptive because of constant shouting and such but it isn't racist. I mean we live in America. It is only natural someone would start chanting that. I still think there is more to the story than being told but the chanting isn't racist.
