Hi, The power of belief is really great. But we should not believe anything blindly. We should check it by experiencing it. If you have faith and belief in God then you can face any difficulty in life. I have some beautiful quotes about faith. Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible. Take the first step in faith, you don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.

Amen! Every person believes what they believe. There are many paths. Pick one and be faithful. Or not! You believe what a person believes they become. so if they believe in nothing , they are nothing?

Hi Bird. Oh how so right you are we can be led down the wrong path if we let someone else decide anything for us. People need to all read the bible and if they don't understand then need to pray that God open their eyes and let them see and hear what Gods word really means. I found a real teacher of Gods word, this man teaches what Gods word really means and he knows what he is talking about. http://www.shepherdschapel.com/index.htm When I found him I had been taught all my life I was going to fly away some day, which is a lie, why would God want us to fly away when Jesus is coming back to the earth to claim HIS Kingdom back ? There is a church in town that teaches that we don't need to understand Revelations , I was shocked when I heard that. Revelations means to revel so why would God not want us to understand it? You are right this isn't the time to let others to make up our minds we all need to know what Gods word really means. This is the time to really study Gods word we are getting too close to not know what God wants us to do before HE returns. God gave us all free will to learn or be led astray by the evil of this world (the devil). We need to open our eyes and ears to the truth of Gods word!

I had to do a little research on this one and checked around to define the meaning on belief. Though I can agree with bird123 on this "What a person Believes is often what a person becomes." is powerful indeed and that we often listen to other people and based on what we read, hear and see will for ourselves choose what we think is truth. We can pursue the truth but sometimes the real truth can be hidden from us. I think it is important to consider that the meaning of belief (religious, spiritual) however lies very closely (LIFON) to another individual. That is why we have a choice. We can trust in a individual higher power (God). In plain lanquage, what God does say in truth and will we be directed, if we ask and really to desire the truth. I believe the answer to that is yes. Alternatively, someone that does not believe in God or has little trust in God (faith) will have only one other option and that is direction from man. be·lief (b-l f) n. 1. Belief with good education is good but belief with less education is dangerous because anything feed to them they will believe it without weighing and analyzing things and they will die for those things . While those who are well educated will never believe things easily , thorough investigation done first , analysis and weighing of things are done first before you can get their approval.

Believing in one thing that it will happen is the indication it is powerful. We can tell the belief has power by being positive. Added with the fact that one thing is true like as we observe on experiment. On faith it has also powerful by believing that there is only one God who created the world. And within this no doubt we are have faith and we have faith we believe.

In my opinion belief depend on what people need to believed that must be inclined with God. Believing in something we can't study what doctrine or what kind of belief they teaching with us is a dangerous if not examine first before joining the said belief or religion. Most important thing about belief must always be base in the bible to avoid being deceive by false teaching regarding the existence of God.

Belief = accepting as true. So, if something is untrue and you still accept it? Do you really 'believe'?

a quick note as I have read alot of this and enjoy learning and more..however no person knows what is in another person's thought..I gave my thoughts here and it seems it leads to arguements ..a respond dicussion a kind word..you ask a question one gives an answer of their thoughts.. then a big turn around like who is right , who is wrong..you ask for their thoughts and answers from others..the real truth..the life of others..keep it simple and kind..not always put others down and think one or yourself is right. it is possible you may be wrong..the thoughts of others lead in a direction to seek and know and find. that is a leadership , that is knowing, that is wanting to know,..a good discussion, but not to argue but to know the thoughts of others an answered question...kindly , mature, not a yell or put others down, to be beware..is to seek and find the answers..not to lead one astray..one has to believe in order to find..and one has to want to know in order to seek to and truthful know..

I believe but somehow I know I am given a logical brain for something... So, at the end I believe what I really know and that's unshakable most of the time, having experiencing it in my life... not from what people told me...

It's because some beliefs are tricky. Lack of discernment I guess. Right now I don't see the need to go to church. I see it this way. Look every time you go to church and listen to the speaker, he is so happy. Why? all of us want admiration and audience. Imagine I just dress up myself to hear blah blah blah. He talks all the time while the audience their mouth are tightly sealed and all their eyes are glued on the preacher. It's ego trip every Sunday.

Remember, each person decides for themselves how they value things. This is far too important to allow others to do it for you. You forgot to add believe me at the end.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 'Belief' is what we are actually & what is there in our mind. We create vibes as per per our belief which creates our own destiny. The power of positive thinking & believing the same is tremendous . Nature helps a person who believes in himself.

Hi bird: I agree with you. There's a positive thing about believing but a blind faith could cause more damage than not believing at all. That's the always present debate between faith and reason. I think both are important and depending on the situation if we are too rational we can also make mistakes. We need to find the balance between these two forces. ALVARO

believing is a very dangerous thing. you need to distinguish its honesty and genuineness. like any other thing, if what you believe is a only a lie or false, this will lead you to harmfulness and might destroy you. to say, in this world that is full of mystery, before believing things and so, you need to examine it. but of faith in God, i need not to question it because it is the most righteous thing to do. to avoid misconception and falsehood, we can ask guidance to the Holy Spirit; this will help us take the path. thanks for sharing :)

Belief is not bad, it is good, but the way of our thoughts is so important in that. I mean we should have and make good thoughts as we are what we think. first is thought, then it goes to belief.
