Making new blog on Blogger...HELP!!!

I have had couple of blogs for many years, but haven't bothered with them in about 3. But I wanted to do a new one to show my quilts, kind of a base for a business...I make and sell quilts and I will put a picture of each finished quilt I make with discruption and then on my business card I can refer to the blog to show options, for contact since everything is via internet/mail these days etc. What a mess! Blogger used to be pretty easy... I did 5 other blogs for heaven sake! Now...this one..I didn't want it attached to my other ones as the name is differnet, content matter is different. Good grief, I knew blogger was in cahoots with Google, but this is ridiculous! All I want to do is have a blog with some pictures, descriptions, might put Adsense on there later, but don't really expect to many comments or interaction with readers etc. Is there an easy way to get through Blogger now that Google has innodated it? I even have to have a Google account and email and I don't want to use Google, I have yahoo and don't want to deal with another one. Any tips from anyone on how to make this an easy road to hoe....so I can get back to quilting?
