Computer os down, what to do ?

What do you mean down exactly? You're computer can't start without anything showing at your screen or it restart and there's a message saying file missing, corrupted, etc.? Virus is one of the most common reasons why it is happening. But even installing antivirus is not a 100% guarantee your computer will be protected. If your OS is just corrupted, you can try to repair it using your OS cd, or if you want a clean copy but you'll start installing all again, reformat it, it will help also to clean and improves performance. And what you can do after installing OS and software you needed in your computer, you can make a system backup, recovery CD using programs available in the internet, so that if same thing happen again, you don't have to reformat and start from scratch, all you have to do is to boot up the recovery disk, in few hours, your computer is ready to go again. =)

I have to have a backup before all that happens, so if there is an error or damage caused by a virus then I would vacate the hard-disk and then re-install windows. Which is mainly for me is Installing an anti-virus then copy the backup data to my hard-disk which has been formatted. Next just install some applications, after that all will return to normal.

Hi, No problem here. All I have to do is pop in the OS disk and reformat the HDD. I shall have the computer up and running again in one hour. If a hardware problem is the cause of the crash, it may take some time to diagnose and slip out the defective part and swap it with a new one. I am talking about desktop PC's, laptops are more tricky to service when hardware problem is the cause of the breakdown.

yes, Virus is a big problem for computer users. We can't be happy in our computer is very slow. Try 'Format your all hard disk and re-install your OS. This will make your computer fast. or Install some anti-virus software - This will help to remove all virus from your computer

Hi there Checkmail! Since I have graveyard shift, what I usually do when I do not have access to a computer is sleep. I also bond with my family by watching movies with them, playing the guitar and singing with them, cook, read books, do art projects and help my son with his homework. I have a lot of things that I can do but I love being here in Mylot so I also get sad when there's no way that I can post here.

Like you I feel alone when computer goes down or internet is down. Though when internet or computer goes down, I’ll take a walk outside and going with my friends. Or making some sort of crafts to spend time with. I also love being in Mylot and feels alone when I can’t access mylot, but if the inevitable situation like computer crashed has happened, I’d try to spend my time doing different things.

When my computer goes down (desktop). I just get my laptop out and use that. Than when my boyfriend gets off of work. He will run all of the virus and fix the desktop. We both like the desk top and have programs on there for out children to play. (learning programs)
