HUD and most recent eviction attempt by my Crazy Landlord...

I'm just not sure what to do next...I talked my landlord into returning my exhaust fan in my bathroom by explaining to her that the mold was building up and tests I took prove that...fan was in the next day. But that she even bothered to remove it in the first place let me know she is being driven crazy by my upstairs neighbor who cannot stand to hear the sound of it when I am using the bathroom. Since my last discussion my landlord has gone and added a whole new dilemma for me to fear and worry over. She planned to fumigate my apartment, giving me just a few days notice to empty my entire kitchen and bathroom and remove myself and my cat from the unit for the afternoon of Tue. Feb 26th. Now, my landlord is aware of my inability to inhale the fumes from such an extreme chemical being in the air, all over sheets, blankets, carpets, heating vents and anything the chemical comes in contact with. I have had a hole in my lung ages ago and since healing from that injury I cannot inhale hot, humid, potent things in the air. I have proven that via doctor and medical tests when she had me put in a one bedroom apt that had a swamp in the living room and mold beneath most the walls (that actually bled dark purple spots through the quick paint job they'd done to cover the mold spots before moving me into the place...) we had a long ordeal with HUD associates and inspectors and such and medical proof of my allergic type reaction, which constricts my lungs to the point on closed of entirely when being forced to breath the poisoned air, before she would agree to remedy the situation and due to my condition I could not be present while the walls were torn down to expose the inner wall and all the mold to be cleaned, so they moved me again (this making the third move, forth apt since the time she got her job here some 6-7 yrs ago) to this current apt that I am in. So although she is aware of my allergy-like reaction, she still would not believe that I had legitimate concern...so I went ahead and made ready to let them fumigate anyway for fear of another threat of eviction. However, I was unable to get a ride out of here for my cat and self so now she is claiming that I refused to let bug guy spray. When i was on the phone, trying to get someone to come get us she told be it was too late, though the bug guy was not yet ready to do my unit. And when he came to my door and asked if he should do my unit she told him no, and he went onto the next. While the landlord was in my unit accusing me of breaking the lease by not being able to be out with my cat in time, she complained that she had to walk around all of my clutter, that being the kitchen and bath items pulled out by her request. She then sends me a certified letter telling me I breached the lease by having my apt. unsanitary, and cursing at the bug guy, claiming that I had violated the lease this same way less than 6 mos previous. (when she followed maintenance man in when he came to repair hole in bath ceiling and bedroom window with a camera taking pictures of all the stuff I had pulled from bathe and bedroom at her request for the purpose of maintenance--so in essence, she was pulling a suprize inspection with no advance notice and citing me for the clutter that she asked me to put there...) However, the last time the bug guy fumigated was last year in may, and yet she is claiming in certified letter that it was in Dec. 2013...she is lumping the two incidents into one and trying to say that both happened in less that 6 mos. So now she has a certified letter dated for Dec. that she doctored to include last May's fumigation where in which bug guy refused to fumigate me once he heard me tell maintenance man that I would have a reaction, though I did try to allow it in spite of my known reaction, she claimed then also that I refused to let them treat, and in both cases, she lies stating that I yelled and cursed, assaulting the bug guy. So now I am supposed to just up and move out on the 6th because she said so, and if I do not she will file in court and evict me the best she can for breaking the lease twice in 6 mo period. Here's my dilemma, I risk losing my subsidized housing all together if I do get evicted and she knows this. There is a chance this eviction plan of hers will fail and I will not have to give up my home of 20 yrs. However, I'm told if she files on me to evict at all I lose my chance of keeping HUD housing. I just don't know what to do. I have no place to go and will lose everything I own and my cat if I must go just like that. She is straight out lying and will take these lies to court and swear before God and all that (if they even do that swearing thing in court anymore) she will take her doctored paperwork in to use as evidence against me, and I have only pictures of the inside of my home and my word against hers. Do I just leave and save my chance to one day get another subsidized home that I can afford to live in or take my chances in court to try to save the Hud housing I have been living in for 20yrs. I cannot decide and I am going nuts trying not to worry and trust everything may be alright, when I kinda know it's not alright at all.

You are the stating the main reasons why I dont rent. i hate dealing with landlords. If its not the stove, its the fan. And they just take their time to come and fix thing. Sorry not for me.

Count your blessing if you don't have to rent for a dwelling place in your life. If you don't have to do that, it is better for you not to do it for fun sake, dealing with landlord is one of those things in life that you try to avoid if given a choice. Most of them are like blood suckers that can make you dry sooner than you want to believe.

It can be extremely difficult having to deal with landlord nowadays, most of them only want to collect rent but often refuse to fix broken appliances and deal with problems infesting the rental property. Many time, i have to fix many problems myself and pay out from my own pocket for the replaced items inside the house once they are broken in order to get them repair quickly. Nobody say it is easy and convenient to be a tenant, the property owners always had more advantages working at their side in the eye of the housing law whenever in dispute with the tenants, it will always be a pain to rent from someone than owning a property for yourself.

I would not leave without a battle. get documentation on your medical condition as well as any notice she gave you regarding the fumigation in which it only gave you a few days to leave. Normally I would suggest that you talk to her but she sounds as if she might not be an easy person to talk with. I would find out who the director of HUD is in your area and write a letter stating your side. also get a statement from the gas man
