No it isn't a ghost haha
I would say every night I put something on to watch, half way through the movie or whatever I am watching, the DVD player will just turn off. So obviously something is wrong with it and I can tolerate it. It can get annoying only sometimes if I am at an interesting part of the movie and I have to turn it back on and find where I was up to.
So again, obviously is has some fault with it but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if you think this is dangerous?
Happy MyLotting.

Did you buy that DVD player new, paying the whole price for it with the warranty ?
Did you read the whole user manual and maybe other specifications or extra information about that DVD ?
If so, then, you better check the connection to the electricity in the wall, maybe the connection is not so stable.
Sometimes, if you put a disc on key USB device in the computer, it sometimes doesn't recognize it because something is wrong with the connection. I just plug it in again and hope for the best.
Man, even the mouse of my computer is sometimes not recognized and I have to plug it in again.
I hope you didn't buy that DVD before making some research on it.

Hello stringer321!
My parents got it for me years and years ago. I've probably have it for about 5-6 years maybe. Maybe it is because it's old. I am very carefully with my belongings and take care of them so it hasn't been dropped or anything like that.
I did make sure that everything was plugged in right and all seems normal.
Thank you so very much for answering with that information. :)
