Till a few days ago, India was struggling. No one was actually giving their best performances. It would just be Dhoni who would try his level best to put in some hard work and a good performance, so that our loss would be a little less severe. It was a one man army.
Come Australia and it began to change. First test saw a double centuary. But it is the second test that has brought forward a team effort. Bhuvaneshwar with his ball on the first day. And now Vijay and Pujara with their bats. Way to go Team India. This is what we want to see.

I have noticed some reasons too for this motivation to Indian team. Now Dhoni is more close to his team members. Team management may have advised him to be so, but his home visit by Indian team at the time of Ranch Test is an important factor behind this better friendliness. Dhoni was giving excessive priority to spinners during England team visit as if he is NOT confident of Indian batting power. This brought lack of confidence to main Indian batsmen. Actually Indian batting power is more performing than Indian bowling power in international level. Team management may have advised him in this matter too. Now we can see a balanced Indian team.

Well, it would be a bit early to rush to conclusions. Indian team is more alert also after defeat by England, and perhaps dropping of Gautam Gambhir is making Indian players perform better, and also Aussies do not seem to be as well prepared against spin attack as English batsmen especially Alastair Cook and Ian Bell, and Trott.

Ups and downs in forms are a part of any sport but losing at home to England was surely a bitter pill to swallow. We can attribute this to the fact that our big stars in Sehwag, Gambhir and Zaheer were underperforming and also the retirement of Dravid and Laxamn meant that they had to be replaced. The influx of new players, some of whom had very little experience is also another reason why our performance have like a pendulum. Surely, our performances will stabilize once the new group has played a little more together at the international.

That's right. It may lead to inconsistencies in the team performance but we'd rather have those form swings now than a couple of years later as the world cup approaches.

I did not follow the second test match too much. Yet, from what I can make out, it has been a great back to form innings from Pujara and Murali Vijay that helped India a lot. Ashwin is looking awesome. Yet, I expect more wickets from Ishant Sharma, and Bhuvanesh Kumar.
Still, the real test for India would be in an away series. I think it would be in the series against South Africa later in the year.

Aus. team looks like New Born team and India suddenly back in to their real form specially Pujara,Vijay & Skipper but spinners also played too good role to win easily. Hope Team India win series by 4-0. Strong point is we have got new VVS as PUJARA immediately, it's also proud for me(vbPUJARA) he's from my community and region.

I too agree that it was a good team effort from team India. They were too good in both bowling and batting. Dhoni was also good as a captain. He was doing his maximum for his team. Anyway let us believe that India will continue this in the coming matches too.

Please don't forget the contribution of Sir Ravindra Jadeja in first innings, he took 3 wkts. he is transforming himself into a really good all rounder in all the formats now.

I think this is a young team. Young teams tend to be inconsistent so we need to give them a bit of a longer rope. I think we have some really good youngsters for Indian conditions. But in overseas conditions it would be the real test for our youngsters. I think the first real test is going to be the tour of South Africa.
Cheers!

Now we can see the transformed face of Indian cricket team. After the shameful loss from England I should say that the Indian team have changed a lot. Now they are playing as a team. An important quality that should have in a team game. Even in the first test it was not Dhoni alone who brought the victory Aswin,Sachin, Kohli ....all contributed well. In the second test also India is eyeing at an innings victory now.

Hello anuraa32 and today it was slow but yet good cricket form Indian Team with pujara and murlivijay holding on to crease after sehwag dismissal.Actually me think that Watson might have misunderstood the pitch, and tried to crush Indian battling lineup in more worst way than Indians did to Australian batting line up.
So good days for Indian are once up again, Dhoni might be proud of his boys.
