Diabetes and liver disease

At my last gp visit I was told that my liver function tests were very high and my doc wasnt too worried about it even though it was 4 times what it should be. I dont drink alcohol and he didnt really explain much about it to me. It was only when I had my routine visit to my diabetic nurse that it was explained to me. I dont have to be a drinker to have probs with my liver, its not an alcoholics disease, but more and more diabetics are having probs with their liver and kidneys. Diabetes is getting to be a tougher and tougher battle every day. Do you find it the same?
