Indio is a bit disappointing

i loved amaya so i was really looking forward to Indio. but after watching some episodes, i was a bit disappointed. i just don't like the casting of the show. i think bong revilla is too old for the show. some of the cast cannot act at all. the gods/deities are not fluent with filipino. most have accents and some don't look like filipino at all. at home, we just watch shows from the other channels.

Well, I think they were just pushing the cast because of the pressure and since the other network is also having its own hero like teleserye theme. Then that puts a lot of pressure on them. I think Bong Revilla is quite old for the role too, there could have been other actors who could do the series. They just didn't get this one right.

I have the same thoughts. I think that they wanted to leave people an image of him being some kind of heroic that could save people especially the poor.

yes, that's really my exact point. just read the promo/tagline of indio.

i just think that bong wanted to make a teleserye of being a hero because he's running in the 2016 elections. and this one came too forced. it woould have been better to see dingdong in this.

I actually feel the same. I would always tell my husband that it should have stopped at Alden. I also think that Bong is kind of old for the show or for her leading ladies, Maxine and Jen. I also noticed those 'diwatas' accent and am a bit uncomfortable hearing them speak. Anyways, maybe others appreciate it.

i really hate those accents. can't they find other actors to play the role of the gods?

I think Iza Calsado is fit for the role but she has already transferred to another station. I believe there are better choices.

yes, iza looks lie a goddess with no accent. and she's really a great actress.

The show could have been a promising one since the network is good at producing these kinds of teleseryes but I am starting to read negative comments on the show besides this post as well. I think they did a grand opening of the show but it looked like they were not able to sustain it in the long run.

yes, the set of the goddesses obviously looks like a studio and the tons of styro used for the show is really noticeable.

Hello Iluvusabado, I have been aware of this new tele serye, but i seemed to lack interest in watching it. not sure about the fluency of the language but i think they lack more scenes that are supposedly more in the series but that's not the same anymore. the rise of the series from GMA started with encantadia, then sugo, Darna and their own version of Captain Barbell which was really nice

i loved encantadia. i think it was well made. the first season, only. and i think you forgot mulawin. the others i didn't enjoy much.

the concept and the script seemed credible but it got ruined for the miscasting, Indeed Bong Revilla is a miscast, maybe if they casted a woman his age, it might have somehow worked but no they decided to pick a woman old enough to be his daughter. also he doesnt look young for his age, He is also fat. He just doesnt have the badass look needed for an action star.

well your suggestion might work. i really hate it when bong revilla is paired with younger actresses. i'm reminded of his womanizing years. i'm just sorry to open it up.

Thats what I feel too.. Since the other diwatas are not fluent in Tagalog, only Rhian Ramos gets more scenes and spiels. Almost all soap opera of GMA is like that. They have a great opening and great scenes on the first weeks and after that, they just shoot inside a warehouse not outdoors. I seldom watch shows on GMA because of that. I don't like much fantaseryes actually. I mostly watch shows from ABS because I think they do much good stories and I think actors of ABS is more good.

I' with you. I really don' have a thing with fantaseryes. Usually,I stick to the more realistic approach.

i'm also not into pinoy fantaseryes because i feel like you've seen them before. i also agree with you that the pilot week is really great even with the special effects but as the story progresses, you can see that they've become complacent with that aspect. i loved lobo though.

I noticed that too.Bong should have let the other younger stars of the network have the role. His leading lady is way younger than he is too.Of all the casts I can see the potential in Sheena Halili. And the one I forgot his name the son of Bembol Rocco.

i think sheena halili is doing great especially since her former roles are more on the comedy site. the rocco kid is also good. i just don't know if he's felix or dominic.

I watch teleseryes but I have been hooked on ABS CBN than GMA. Funny, but most of the time it is GMA who contacts us to hire our vehicles for them to use in their teleseryes. I just find the programs of GMA to be a bit over the top to the point of making it look like "trying hard" to really get into the masses' attention. I have not seen any episode of Indio or Amaya. And I just never had that urge to watch them.

the first half of amaya is great. until they extended it because of the high ratings. i'm not really a fan of marian rivera and i think amaya is great.

based on my own opinion, mr. revilla is not so good with his role. i guess, he is good with panday but not in this tv series. in the house too, we are are bit disappointed as well. the story is nice but the characters in the story did not portray in their role so well..

i also don't like bong revilla's acting. i saw the scene when he was tied and crying. that was the most horrible scene on philippine tv i've ever seen.

Yes, bong revilla is too old for his character. The first scene of indio is good, but now is boring.. im also dissapointed with their cast..
