I'm almost done with my Easter shopping. I've been grabbing deals as I see them. Some things I've had since before Christmas. I found shorts on clearance last fall.. I didn't want to give them to the kids at Christmas, so I've been holding onto them. I got shirts for the kids on clearance from Walmart a few weeks ago. Any store I go into I immediately check the clearance section, and if I see something my kids would like I grab it and instead of giving it right to them, I save it for the next upcoming holiday. I rarely spend full price on gifts I give them at holidays.
When you're shopping for holidays do you save things as you find them on sale or on clearance.. or do you pay full price shortly before the holiday approaches?

I do not give gifts at Easter apart from Easter eggs to the children. I am bad with shopping as am never in the right place to get a deal but for seversal years now, I give my daughter a little money to spend on gifts whenshe goes to the Us. They send her on training courses so she can work wonders with even a fifty dollars buying gofts for the grands or anyone else for Christmas or birthdays. She can really sniff out a barghain and only buys things on sale. So yes, in one way, I am always looking ahead for gifts - just not me doing the shopping

Believe me - she helps to save a lot of money She knows my size and style and what suits me ieven if I don't know it so shops for me too. I love it as she has good taste but it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy. She knows what is iun fashion too and that helps!

I don't usually get my kids anything other than some candy for Easter. We dye eggs, but I don't hide them. As for other gifts, I usually end up doing the last minute pay full price thing. I don get my employee discount on things now, so it is really no longer full price.

Except for my 1 yr old grandson I send my grandkids a card with money in it. My grandson will probably get a new bunny from me. I haven't even started looking yet because I've had a bad weekend. I basically get cards for everything and put money in them. It's a good thing I don't have a lot of grandkids!

I used to be very organised and buy things in advance as you do, but more recently I´ve sort of given up on all that and run around like a headless chicken immediately before any event. I don´t really know why I´ve stopped doing it. Storage is a problem at the moment, but I think it´s just because I´ve just become rather disorganised.

You've got a lot of other important stuff to deal with.. the less important things get put off.

I always try to get things on clearance when and where I can and I will hold onto those things until I'm ready to give them. This was something that I always did when my daughter was younger and she wasn't growing as quick as she has been recently.
When it comes to the toys and things that I get for them, I buy a lot of those from Amazon and I constantly watch the prices and then I will purchase them when I see that they are at a price that is a lot lower than I'm used to seeing on there and when I know the prices are lower than the brick and mortar stores.

But things that I want and spend the remaining on the gifts for my loved ones. I also look for the sale price tags and the huge cutoffs on bulk items then that's when I feel that I got my money's worth.
