I usually read when I find a book that I really like a lot. And it is hard for me to put it down,I take the book with me everywhere. I read it at traffic light's,while I am cooking, eating, cleaning.
I get really addicted to the book!
Do you read a lot or just when a book jumps out at you? How often do you read it?

Its not like I'm sitting down with the family... I'm sitting at my desk while the rest of the household are off in their own spaces eating... Sometimes we sit down together, but there's something about unrelated people living together that too much togetherness gets old.

I am really an abvid reader and my taste varies from hstory to murder to romance. Whatever I fancy at that time. The Christmas before lsst my daughter had bought me a Kindle and it is the best present ever. I usuyally have at least a dozen books downloaded on it - there are masses of free books to read. I aso buy special books to read at a very reduced price. This actually goes on my daughter's credit card So I always have it charged and it stays charged for hours and always have it slipped into my bag. I read in rstaurants, waiting in line at bank, or at tax office. Literally everywhere. anmd yes, I do get addictd to some books and find it hard to put them down

I love to read, but I get car sick and can't read in any vehicle that's moving (except a plane-I don't have a problem then). If I get a book that interests me enough, I won't limit myself and only read before bed-I'll sit down and read whenever I have some free time. I've been known to stop my chores to read!

I read pretty much only Indian Romances and it's usually once. Sometime I read them more than once but that normally happens a while down the line. Because that's what I read, getting books for myself is few and far between.
However you could be like my daughter who reads just about anything and everything under the sun. She has her own library of over 700 books and it just seems to keep growing. She just bought the fifty shades of grey series over the weekend. She has books from vampire novels to romance novels. She even has children's books like Goosebumps.
My husband reads very little but when he does they're war novels by Dale Brown or Larry Bond. My daughter's husband tried to read but he's just not that into it.

I'm not much of a reader unless its a book that I really like. Right now there is a set of books I, reading that I really love. It on.y took me a week to read the second book and I read the first book during the end of my per bench and just finished it a week ago. Now I'm on book three and have three more books to go that I know of that the author has written.

Hi ShyBear88,Sounds like something that I did.In 2001 I was talking to my sister one day,a week before I was to have minor surgery out of town and she was to watch our daughter and she said she was getting ready to call the book store and reserve the third book in the Harry Potter series.I had not read any of them but she was telling me about it.I told her to reserve one for me to and she said that she would but I would have to get books 1 and 2 first or I wouldn't understand book 3 when it came. So,I got book 1 that day and read it in 2 days and really liked it.I went out and went to 5 stores to find book 2 and could not find it.
The next week when we dropped our daughter off at my sisters and she lent me her book 2.I read for the hour drive to where we had to go and that afternoon and night while I was resting for my surgery. Then read the rest on the way back to my sisters house after the surgery.
Then when book 3,4,5,6 and 7 came out I read as I described above.

I love reading and I cannot express into words just how much I really love reading. I know what you feel and what you're saying, when you got that one book that you just can't stop reading even if it's already time for school or to go eat, I just can't stop reading. Also, there were nights when I really just can't sleep because I'm reading.

I used to read a lot more often than I do now. I rarely find time to read. I bought a few magazines this morning at the grocery store before work. I got in about 20 minutes of reading today at the office. As far as books go, if it is something I find really interesting I used to have a really hard time putting it down. I have not picked up a book to try to read in a long time because I do not have the time to dedicate to it if I get interested in it.

No, I don't read like that anymore. I write a lot more than I write. What I do tend to read is short--articles, blogs, short stories, poetry.
I do have a couple of books I need to read right now, though. My rabbi had directed me to them, and I'm certain that they will be the topic of conversation the next time we talk.

I haven't had a whole lot of time to read recently because I was in college and had to read all of my school books. Now that I have a break in between transferring schools though I am trying to read books as much as possible. Like you I take a book with me everywhere so that way when I have free time I can read. I take it to work with me and when we are slow I read, which is pretty awesome.
Right now I am reading a book called Back to Eden that is all about herbal medicine and all of the different preparations that are involved in it. It's a great book but it's over eight hundred pages so it's going to take me a while to finish it.

I read everywhere when I was young. Now my eyes are old and I have to be seated with a good light to be able to read at all. I used to read in all possible positions since I was a child. My parents put the lights off after a certain hour and I would crawl out of bed to read with the hall light.

i dont like to read books unless it is technical. Sometimes, i read tech books to know more on a certain equipment. In fact, other books are based on certain philosophy, which again varies from one community to other.

I find that u r really a book-fan! But I want to convince u don't read while crossing the crossroad, so dangerous. I used to read books and articles when I was young, along with my age rises, I barely have time or should I say I'm not willing to squeeze time in days to read a book or even a single article. A few days ago, I had started a related topic and a lot of kind mylotters gave me some useful advices, so now, I'm trying to read periodically by using their suggestions and I found them quite well, I hope I can have more energy to squeeze time for reading.
