How do you manage discussions?

it was not tough at starting when i have started few discussions, i didn't get so many responses on them also so it was quite easy to manage them, another factor may be i was not serious as i am now..However as i am more interested and enjoying my stay on mylot i am finding it tough sometimes to manage my participation in discussions..as i want to more and more active so that i can make some good money from it, my mind is full of thoughts and i want to express them, i cant stop making new discussions. for few days i login on the site, just respond to the comments on my discussions and thats it..i got tired and sleepy and cant participate further in others' disussions specially in my friends discussions no matter how much willing i am..may be its because of my health this time..I just want to know from old members, how do they manage their participation on mylot? may be i find some easy way..

I guess those who have been around Mylot have been more comfortable in sharing everything that comes into their minds. They just feel the urge to type it down and let people know about it and learn from them. I have not been active that long and I really seldom make my own discussion. I just feel the need to share something when I have a strong feeling for it. And maybe because, I lack focus coz in between responding to discussions, I go up and down the stairs to do something or someone comes over or someone is calling on the phone.

Yes, i noticed so many users here discuss about everything about their daily life like what they bought, what they ate etc. even their conversations with their family members, i enjoy reading them, sometimes i make response too but most of the time i cant understand what to respond on those discussions :) I wonder, may be i would not have any topic to discuss in future and i will also start make discussions like those..

Well, maybe you could also find it fun to make something out of your everyday activities which you can share with all of us and that we might find in it real interesting, too.

I tried to do so but somehow i felt, it'll not interest others to know about my daily things and i changed my mind. I'll try to share if i find something unique and interesting enough for others :)

I get notifications in my email of responses and other Mylot friend's posts. I answer those and once or twice a week I will post some discussions of my own. I will also manually check the Mylot site to be sure all my responses to my discussions have been answered. Mylot doesn't seem to send me all of them. I haven't chosen my best responses on most of my discussions so I do go try to do afew occasionally. And, if at the end of the day I don't feel I have responded to enough discussions I will go to the Mylot site and manually do afew more.

nice strategy you have :) i'll try to organize my time like you, thats right mylot doesn't sends notifications for all responses and discussions sometimes. I will try to respond in others discussions this week rather than starting more new discussions.

It is a balancing act starting discussions and responding and acknowledging those that have replied to your discussion, as well as responding to other people's discussions too. I do try to endeavour to acknowledge all the responses I received, after all people have taken time out to respond, so it's only right you should reply back to them. But I have had discussions in the past where I have had pages of responses! I guess it depends on the type of discussion etc, and usually even if it takes me an extra week or two to get back, I do. Now that I have freed up a lot of time that I used to waste on Facebook I can at least keep up with my friends discussions and responses now.

Yes, i noticed you do it very sincerely. The only need is 'enough time' to keep all the things in order..

Well, I just had a nice response ready for you but it didn't post. Trying again I will say that I first go through and answer all the notifications that come to me through my email. Then I go to the site and make sure that all of my discussion's responses because for some reason not all my responses come to me. If I haven't gotten very many I will go to Mylot and pick up some there. Things have slowed alot on Mylot. I used to get anywhere fom 100 to 250 a day. Now I get 30-40 on a good day.

Well, I am writing on Mylot, for over three years. I can not even begin to imagine how many threads or comments I have written. However lately my business on Mylot, was reduced more than anything else to comment on the discussions written by other members. Of course, an average of about ten comments a day, then, in my turn, I should see if my post, there is a counter-post. I do this work almost immediately. Of course, if the counter-post is written several days after my comment, I can not even notice it! Incidentally, how should I do? However, I believe it is impossible to keep track of hundreds and hundreds of discussions and comments. Who will succeed?

Yes, I can understand its getting tough for me even when i am active for just a couple of weeks and it will be much more difficult with time..It is definitely impossible to take care for all the responses and comments when you are regularly active for a long time..

I usually just respond to my emails first. I dont like them getting all piled up. But when i start a discussion, i make sure i have a free hour so that i can respond to everyone as soon as possible. Its the only way you can contribute to keeping your discussion alive. Its pretty cool too, when i haven't responded to my emails, i dont create new discussions. I take them one at a time, dont bite of more than what you am chew. happy mylotting,

I don't start all that many discussions, so it is easy for me, as I will comment back to all the responses I receive and not worry about starting more discussions, as I am not here just for the money anyway. I am here for all the fun that I can have, and I do have fun, as well as I learn a lot too. I don't reach payout every month, but that is okay, as i do reach it every other month. I just don't spend all day in here like some do, as i have other things to do besides here, so when I come in, I just do what I can. I don't even start discussions monthly let alone every day. I just don't want to over burden myself by doing more than I can handle. Take care, and have a very good day.
