I went to the grocery one time to buy a week's supply of food for my kids. I also bought something healthy for them. I have long been avoiding buying them junk food coz they are already well, overweight for their ages, and which I am guilty about it.
I was about to go out the door of the mall, when I decided to pass by the bakeshop to buy bread for them when this struck my attention.
It was packed in a 4x4 acetate box. I am not sure if it has been sold there for quite a long time, but I have never seen it before. Out of curiosity, I bought one piece. As soon as I got home, I hurriedly opened the box and took a small bite. And I felt the heavens opened! Such exquisite taste for a small piece. The Chocolate Rumble as it was called....took away my senses. It was like a devil whispering for me to come back the next day to buy another piece...... And I did! Good thing I still got control of buying lots of those delicate, sweet stuff that melts in your mouth.....
Would you want to have a bite?

so is it red ribbon or goldilocks?
i was born with a sweet tooth and diabetes is rampant in my family, but there are sweet foods i find too sweet, like piaya and chocolate cake with chocolate icing. i feel like my ears are ringing and my hairs standing on end.
i like cakes that's slightly bitter, that has mocha or coffee in it, the same way i like dark chocolate. but given the choice between white and milk chocolate, i'd go for the white. i'm weird that way. obviously, i like mocha and coffee flavored ice cream too.
anyway, a cake my sister and i can't forget is red ribbon's marjolaine cake, so crunchy!

It is actually from Goldilocks. I like all kind of chocolates but I love the darker ones, too. What I just don't want my chocolate mix with is MINT.

So, we share another thing- chocolate covered raisins! I love the Kirkland brand. My uncle from New Jersey would often send us a jar or two! I try to stop eating after 5 pcs. But sometimes, it is so tempting!

oh, i know what you mean about chocolate mint. i used to say it's like eating vicks vaporub. but my sister kept buying them so i started tasting them and yes, i can eat them now, like if i'm craving dessert and it's the only one in the fridge. but i don't think i'll move up to drinking mint chocolate. i like raisins covered in dark chocolate.

That sounds really good Jenny. I think i want some too. but i am taking care of my figure and i am on a strict diet. That's because I've realized how much easier it is to actually just say no to the food than to run on the treadmill, burn it and everything. My metabolism isn't fast enough anymore.

My metabolism is also slow now, considering my age. But I just could not pass on to one delicious monster. At least I get to control myself somehow. Let's indulge with a piece for each of us!

Like i could run on the treadmill for 30 mins and I'd burn around 150-200 calories and thats like equivalent to a sundae from McDonald's. it is so difficult. Its sad how metabolism slows down when we get older. Its not fair.
Oh goodness i am so depressed i need to have more chocolate,

A great discovery jenny. Go ahead and have a blast. I had a similar experience. I had visited our Mall here - Big Bazaar. I always visit their chocolate corner and a few months ago I spotted some new stuff there - choco Pearls which easily compared with any foreign chocolates. I became a regular customer and in fact got in touch with the manufacturer and had regular supplies. But unfortunately due to some problems they have stopped making them now. But I must confess I had a ball of a time while it lasted. I advise you do the same.

Hello, my ever sweet friend!
Yeah, I guess I'd do that. Nothing bad with it for as long as I know how much I can only take in a certain day. Actually, just having two pieces of it might be too much coz I tend to drink lots of water in between bites.

The chocolate rumble really looks delicious! I can't wait to have some again. I really love anything chocolate - chocolate bars, cakes, ice creams, pastries, drinks, what have you. I'm a certified chocoholic! Whenever I feel tired and stressed out, I just grab a bite and my mood will be better. I'm just thankful that I'm not stressed often, otherwise I'll gain much weight in eating chocolates a lot. lol!

Hello, mei_bel! Welcome to Mylot and thanks for participating!
I love chocolates, too but I do not let myself get used to eating it all the time coz I easily get fat! I rarely buy chocolates as well, coz that could be really dangerous. But just earlier, I bought 10 pcs of those Chocolate Rumble coz I wanted to share it with my other sister in law and my sister. I kept on teasing them about it and I guess, I got them all curious, too.

Sure! I wouldn't mind at all! In fact i have shared that sweet thing to my sister in law and she fell in love with it as soon as she had the first bite. She bought herself 6 pieces the following day!

I love chocolate so much too. Especially dark chocolate. When i see them, it takes so much effort for me to turn my head around, and when i do, I'll still be thinking about the chocolate, it will bother me until i get myself busy with something else.

Well, I don't think one piece would hurt, right? Come over! I've got several pieces more. It's great with tea.

Oh my... I'm salivating now. It looks so delicious.
Today, I actually bought two packets of baked rolls. Okay, they are still a healthier alternative junk food to chips, but still, not the healthiest options ever. I haven't eaten junk food in a while, but I felt a sudden desire to have them. I had one packet in cheese flavor, and one in pizza. Hm. They were delicious.

I'd like to believe that the chocolate rhumble is healthier than chips but I don't think it is really. But somehow, I can control eating only a piece.

Oh man, chocolate! One of my many weaknesses! I would buy some as well if I were you. But I will make sure to only have it very rarely, maybe once a month! And only when I need to celebrate a little or congratulate myself for something remarkable that I have done.

Hello, Raine!
Actually, i just bought 10 pcs earlier. But my intention was to share it with my sister and sister in law coz they have been giving a lot of things to my kids and it is very seldom that I get to reciprocate their generosity. And so I thought of sending them the chocolate rhumbles as my way of thanking them for being supportive to my family especially to my 4 boys.

Hello, Teo! Thanks! I do try to keep watch of that. Both my parents have diabetes as well as my maternal grandfather. And thank God, I am not that addicted to chocolates. I fear of getting sick.
