Help pls!...how to link a debit/credit card on paypal?

Hello friends and fellow mylotters, I finally got a SmartMoney which can also be used as a debit card. I remember someone replied on one of my previous discussion about eon card that SmartMoney can also be used to be able to get verified on paypal. I tried to link mine by following the instruction carefully but all I get was "This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."....could someone pls help me?...pls....pls...

What paypal does to verify is they deposit a few cents then withdraws it. I would say your bank has got a protection code on your account that won't allow it to make transactions on non store items. I would call your bank or the number that was given for customer service on your card and ask them what type of protection they have. This not only will help with paypal but you don't want to be in the middle of purchasing something and get a decline from the bank. It shouldn't take long for you to contact the issuing bank and get the information. Make sure they are clear on what you can use the card for and what you can't. I know cards that are given to people from say H&R block after their taxes are done won't work for hotels for some reason. When I worked at the hotel we had a lot of people wanting to take a mini vacation with their refund and found that those cards could not be processed through. So make sure to ask them to list for you what you can not do with it. Good luck!
