bullying now a days is very common and i think this is one kind of bullying too,or more than that, when they will call you a shrimp meaning that you only have good and wonderful body or sexy body but your face is ugly, and they compare it to shrimp because once when we eat shrimp the head always throw and dump and only the body will retain to eat,are u familiar with this? what if someone or some people called you a shrimp, what would be your reaction?

Its really an insult because they compliment your body which will be a sign of lust and just ignore your face or insults your face. So its really an insult for me.

I have heard about this only recently from my guy friends. They use this term b as their code and they think it is only they that know about it. Day of a group of men would be in a place chatting and ab woman catches their attention, then b they would either use this or exchange Signage. I think I haven't really heard someone called a shrimp especially face to face. I think people would be offended, I know I would be. Hehe

Just ignore them, bullying often relies if you are affected or not. If you let them see it affects you they will obviously be happy with what they are doing. But ignoring them really irritates them, so better to irritate them right? Just laugh it off, you know that's not true and they are far worse than anyone.

I hate listening to all those crap! But I am not the kind of person who would say anything. I take in as much as I can and then BAM!
I have dealt with certain bullying when I was a kid. I think that the best way to stop them is to just ignore them and show that you are not affected by it. But if they have become too invasive, there is a proper quorum for that.

if the other person intends to cause you some harm and insult, then it is bullying or insult. specially if you indeed feel it as the person intended. however, if there is no intention, but you feel harmed and insulted, then it is simply a miscommunication or misunderstanding. it is an unintended consequence that you feel like that.

I've been called a shrimp but its because I was short, it was a way to get at me but I didn't care, I grew up, but they never did. It sounds like a derogatory term, I wouldn't let it get to me, people say junk all the time, don't let it stick. They are obviously too concerned with how they look then how they make people feel. Forget them!

I did not know of this word before. And I don`t think that I`d feel insulted. I would rather laugh in the face of the person, telling him to look closer or go to the optometrist. I don`t think there is any ugly person if thet are not mean and violent.

Hello. :-)
I did know about this shrimp thing until I read your post.
WHo are they to judge what's pretty or not or what's sexy or not? They have absolutely no right to call someone a shrimp with the intention of insulting . But of course, bullies have no other intention but to offend and hurt. They don't have the sensitivity over another person's feelings.
So, if i were eing bullied as such, I will just ignore them and show them that they simply have no effect in me. Besides, why would I gt affected? I am not a shrimp! Thing here is you must be confident of who your are and what you are. If you will show them how weak and scared or ashamed you are of yourself, they will keep on calling you names, not just shrimp. So better be brave and face your oppressors with confidence. Unless, they are hurting you physically, you need to get some help...

First I will say its in the shrimps head part is the most delicious. So Im not throwing it until I finish all its orangy particle (I dont know whats its term sorry )
Ok, I can say Im a shrimp, I have a better curves than with pretty face. When I was younger I find it as a bad luck for me but as I gain experiences a little wisdom in life and few kilos on my weight I realized its easier to beautify and improve an ugly face than to cut kilos from your excess fats..
I used to do tantrums when people would tell me Im ugly but now that I truly know myself more better than other people does then I will say " For all I care...!!

I would not respond at all since I never heard about this. But I do think people are way more insulting as before. Many words once used in a normal way suddenly are mostly/only used to scold at someone or to insult. If you use the normal term/word in the way it (once was) ment people treat you like an idiot. I am getting sick and tired of it.

i heard that insult mostly from boys..
funny because that is how they treat women nowadays...
the best thing to do with men or people like that. is to ignore...
they don't that what their doing is judging people, without looking or scanning themselves if they are better than the others. and judging people is a sin to God and only God has a right and worthy to judge.
as for the people who we're insulted, God created u carefully. in God's eyes you are his most beautiful creation. remember we are living in a fallen world and everything that human eyes can see is defiled... but not with the eyes of our loving God.
