Quit job and move to another company to look for the better or perhaps out of lack of advancement, is fine by everyone. However, you should make sure it's good to have another new job before you resign from your old place, unless you really intend to build a business, a short break, or just want to freelance. When we decided to stop working before getting a new job, we would have to think about backup fund that could be used to survive as long as we look for new work.

With the current state of economy, it is not surprising that many companies are badly affected and in turn, these also affect the employees. If you really think that you are ready to move on to another job and that there is no more course of action for you there but to move, then you must start updating your resume and actively look for potential employers. Just remember that it is not advisable to leave your current job without another one ready for you.

My absolute answer is a very big YES !
It is your life, your one time life. Try many things in life, inculde finding a better job. My father did it too, and he feel satisfied.
You must fulfil your passion to try something new.
Be yourself, care about yourself.
Do it.

If you're not happy with your current job, you can always resign. BUT! before you resign, you should look for another job first especially if your savings are not that big. I don't know what country you are in, but here in my country, it's hard to find a job and there are lots of unemployed newly graduates, even older ones. So think about it and try applying to other companies. Most companies do understand this and will even ask you when you would like to start if you are currently employed.

Well, nowadays it is so hard to get a job that I suggest that you think about quitting your job bery carefuly. For example, it is better something than nothing. In Spain people are going to Germany, young kids are learning German, because in theri country there are no opportunities.

You have identified the following in your workplace, (1) low salary (2) long work or office hours (3) slow advancement in the company (4) no available promotions, positions remained stagnant.
And i would presume you are interested in having your salary increased, right? and also to see your position improve, where you will gain knowledge and you will be a better person at your career... I wonder what else do you need to see and experience so that you will GET OUT of your comfort zone, You are entangled because you are already comfortable at your workplace, that you are lazy to go out and find a job, that you are right now just afraid of changes, and that you are thinking probably why leave when there might be a chance or hope that your company will improve - well i am telling you it won't get better, you yourself have seen it that there were nothing new. You should probably just gather your thoughts, and know where you want to go with your career and decide and take action from there.

Before you left your present job, which you have said that you are not satisfied anymore. See to it that you have found a new job already. It will not be very good if you will leave your present job without an assurance that you can have a new job in a short time.
Have a great day!

If I were you I'll definitely look for another job. Start looking for your job prospect and once you are 100% sure that you'll get hired, only then you can start packing your things up and leave.
