Hi everyone, Its sad but its inevitable truth that i am an internet addict, currently i am at home to study for an exam though the actual test is going about 10 month from now its scary to think that i am going to waste my entire year for nothing. I am so depressed. There are lots of things i do in youtube like watching lectures and stuff. But what starts a "break" goes till the end of the day and finally the entire day's productiveness goes so low that i cant help it. Now thank god i have realised it and hopefully from now i can concentrate on being productive interms of my studies prep. I think the blame equally goes to my brain and the recommendadion list on youtube that has convert me into an addict i hate it and plan to change it.

ya i am totally agree only our brains are to be blame. But last week i made a decision and i made a vow to myself about the number of hours i frolic online and i am so happy that i kept my promise and have been using internet for about 10 to 15 hours the entire week. This is a major development from 8 hours per day. And yes i did all that has to be done in those short time.

It is good for v you to v have realized that now. I can't blame you though because the Internet is such a huge distraction. I'd say maybe b you should really try to control yourself. And know first or plan your review. As soon as you have planned out your daily milestones them you can use your free time to browse the Internet. I wish you goodluck. Have a great day.

It's all about discipline and time management my friend, if you can do it that. Then I'm sure you can manage your addiction to the internet..

i also spend a lot of time on the internet but i don't think we qualify to be called addict. It all depends with what you are doing on the internet,is it constructive or just there checking everything out?If you have a goal then you are probably doing a good thing online.

humm, technically speaking i do have lot of time on my hand since i just finished my college and am planning to take up the most crucial exam in about 10 months time. Yes i have a goal and sometime i do something that is totally distracting my schedule, like yesterday i was watching an anime the ENTIRE day like 10 hours. @chad, humm can u explain what "function in everyday life" means well if you are happy then that is important. I guess its true that if u love tech related things getting addicted is normal in these days.

well if being an addict is bad then i have it baaaaad lol, good thing is i've used the internet to function in everyday life, even have more than one connection in-case one goes down lol, guess when you have tech related interest the addiction comes naturally lol

spending time for watching lectures on youtube is ok, i think. better you make a plan for connecting to the internet, such as how many hours a day, and the remaining time for doing others things such as, studying, doing exercise, etc... Currently i spend much time for surfing internet also, i think it is not good at all, and i try to reduce it. Instead of surfing internet only, i will try to spend time for searching an opportunity for working abroad, scholarships, etc...
