Do You Take Time To Visit Your Friends Discussions?

I know many times we get busy in life. Sometimes we are more busier than others, and it seems like we never have time to post back in here let alone post back to any of the discussions our friends have started. Yes, there are some who post way too many New ones to ever be able to keep up, and then others who hardly ever start a New one, but what about the rest? I know there are many here who I do truly thank for keeping my discussions active, and respond as often as they can, and I do my Best to always keep up with theirs, and from time to time will go find an old one I have missed to respond back too. But you know their is always 10 discussions listed just on the first page if it is someone who starts a lot of New discussions. Mine is always usually 10 discussions I am working on that I have not had time to resolve yet. So if you have missed any you might check this page out first. This is actually what I do when checking out my friends is check the top 10 discussions listed there, and see if there is anything there I have missed I know I should be responding back too. So, what about you that are active. How do you keep up with your friends here, and do you take time to respond back to the ones who respond back to you? Have a wonderful rest of the week. ~~TINA~~

I really don't like it when one person starts 10 different discussions all a few minutes apart...drives me nuts. And you're right, they take up the first page. I normally start on my friends discussions and go from there. I don't care if they have discussions started throughout the day..that's cool with me as long as they're good one's. I normally always comment back as long as I get the notification. Sometimes I don't and I still can't figure out why.

Personally I have never figured it out unless I do not have that persons notification turned on when they start a New discussion. I know since time is limited there is no way I could ever respond back to every discussion my friends start. I actually am quite behind in my myLot folder for sure. But worth doing as I have extra time.

I try to log on daily, not always happens but I try. I devote a day I have off just for catching up. I try to split it in half with answering friends discussions, and going back to respond to my discusssions. I find some pick and choose discussions and even say things like I don't like your discussions so I don't respond to them, which irritates me to no end. I simple don't respond to their discussions or put effort into theirs, as it's clear they don't put it into mine. If I have spare time then I will go roam off into new things.

Personally to me, to put I do not like your discussions is a reason I would be then why respond at all? There are discussions my friends here start I will never respond back too due to I have nothing to add, and if I do as I have time I respond back.

Well lately the amount of time I have to be active here or check email even is so limited. I just do what I can. I have a couple of discussions I want to start as well but need to find time to do so.

I probably spend most of my time here trying to keep up with discussion I've started... I do know that there are some I don't even bother to open when they start so many discussions a day.

Yes, there are a lot of people here who do start a lot of discussions in one day, and many of these they never take time to come back and respond back too, and often we do tend to avoid these. But true a lot of my time is spent playing catch up as I am trying to do now, but will check out some of my friends discussions they have started here, especially like you, since you choose to respond back here.

You know, I really don't have specific people that I respond to here. If I can relate to the discussion in any way or I have something to say about it I do. I don't respond to anyone just because they are a friend, or not respond because they aren't. I respond to anything that catches my attention. If I have responded to everything new then I do find older discussions that I may have missed.

That is really the interesting thing for being a member of this site, and a Good one for being active here for sure. I know many times due to the amount of time I have to be here, it is hard to keep up with friends, and have to rely on what others are starting here. But there are others I do try and keep up with here some depending on the amount of time I have to be here.

I can't, really. I can't be here every day and so much goes on sometimes that I miss it. I don't have time to go back and read and respond to every discussion for the last three or four days. There are people I try to keep up with, but try as I might, I just can't. I hope no one holds that against me!

Well, I hear you there. I have been having a lot of days lately where I am hardly on here, and today is one of those days for just playing catch up. It would be nice if I could be on here more, but with working Full time and trying to get my offline business going more, it really takes up a lot of my time, but I come here as I can.

I am on here every day and I still miss some discussions that are talked about on the discussions I do get in my notifications. I am sure you do the best you can and that is all we can do. I get notifications that help me keep in touch with my friends on here. If I didn't have those I doubt I would be able to. I hate haveing to go to the site and manually find responses and discussions. Ugh!

Once I am here I will always follow up on discussion of people that follow up on mine . If I have a friend that never visit my post after I have visit theirs I will just start ignoring theirs and show my appreciation to others that visit mine .

This is becoming one of my patterns as well. Why visit and respond back to a friends discussion who never takes time to come and respond back in yours? Or never responds back to ones they start ever as well.

Hello there.:-) I am not as active as I was two years ago here in MYlot.Having kids and relocating have taken its tool on my schedules that I hardly have the time to do the internet.:-( But when I have the opportunity, just like now, I see to it that I drop by at Mylot and check what has been going on. And yes, that is including my friends' discussions. Though I must be guilty of not responding to all of them since some I truly can not relate (again, I feel sorry that I can not interact with all of them here is just one sitting...:-)) I no longer start my own discussion coz I know that I will never be able to respond to all of them as soon as they start commenting. So, what I do is just respond to discussions (my friends or not) where I can have my two cents worth posted. Have a great day to you, too.:-)

Yes, due to my busy schedule lately, I do spend more time here either responding back in discussions I have already started, and then find my friends discussions etc that I can respond back too, and even go thru my Email from time to time as well. Just only usually respond back to discussions I can relate with.

I always have 2 windows open when Mylotting- one window for my email and one for Mylot. Since I receive notifications from my Mylot when my friends start a discussion, I am always able to respond to them as well as respond back to others who have responded back to me. That is why not receiving those notifications via email for a time surely made me slow here at Mylot. I felt lost! Although I do know that there is a link the site itself to check on those posts but I find it easier using my email instead.

Well, how I do it a lot of times, is people who are friends especially who take the time to respond back in my discussions, I take time as I respond back to one of their responses, make sure and see if there is a Discussion they have started that I have missed. As there are many times, my time is limited here, this is really about all I can do.

I do try to fulfill my responsibility as someone's friend in the disscussions. Mylot has a lot of activities and that is true that what we see are primarily the new ones and that the new ones might just push our friends' discussion down. I'd say that we do need to checck out the friend's list of disucssion or the link to disscussions started by a friend. most of the time, there are really good discussions that gets pushed down. so i do go through the friend's topic once in a while when i go to the discussion page and i do not feel like answering most of them. Friend's discussions are always the easiest to reply to, hehe one reason is that we somehow "know our friends here in mylot better. =)

I have responded to a recent one of yours, but as you know, I am extremely busy with school and can only make it here once or twice a day, usually to respond to someone who reply to me or to start a post. This week is my spring break, but I am spring cleaning and I am going to try and finish next weeks Sociology work because that class is awful and if I can work ahead, that will give me a big break..

Hello KrauseHome and its really not that difficult if we are on my lot on regular basis, think we can handle few friends discussions easily.Out of all friend started discussion we might be able to respond to at least more than 50% of it, based on our knowledge.yup i do take mine time to respond to received responses.Recently am trying to remain active on my lot to share mine spare time here with friends.Waiting how many would show up here on my lot.

Well, since there are days my time here is so limited, it is really hard for me to keep as active here as I would like. Today has been one of those days to try and catch up some. But since I was away, this means there are many more discussions I have missed my friends have started that are definately worth me responding back too, so I just take time to try and do the ones I can I am interested in.

Yes,I do try to give proper attention to responding to the discussions initiated by my friends.Problem arises when I some technical or too complicated discussions.Being a big zero in technical topics I fail to respond to them. And if they are too long and complicated,I have to reluctantly leave them and proceed to other discussions as I don't have time to understand such complicated type of discussions and then respond to them. When they respond to discussions initiated by me,I comment back on each of them, because I feel it is my duty to honor the time and labor they have put in to respond to my discussions.

Yes, there are often times where someone on my friends list, has started a discussion I cannot relate with that I will have to pass on. As for responding back in discussions I have started, I also agree that this is really important and vital. Unfortunately lately time is so limited, I am always way behind.

Hey Tina, I truly agree with you on the fact that in our busy lifes it is getting very tough to take time and have a conversation with most of our friends. But I would like to make a point that although we might be having lots of friends on our lists but we always get a few people when need arises. So i would suggest you to be in continuous discussion when you ahve less time. And be in touch with every one when time permits. And I follow the same when it comes to me. And I even feel bad that I am not able to save time to meet or discuss or to tweet them.
