Ronaldo returned to his former hunting grounds to haunt his former employers Man United to help Real Madrid progress to the next round of the Champions League. In a fantastic match of end to end stuff, Real Madrid won the match 2-1 through goals from Ronaldo and Modric. Man United's goal was an own goal from Ramos.
Real Madrid win the tie 3-2 on the aggregate after a 1-1 draw at Bernabeu a fortnight ago.
Cheers!

I'm usually angry when Man United lose a game but somehow when it happens in the Champions League, anger gives way to disappointment. I was absolutely distraught when I woke up this morning and had to focus entirely on work the whole day to avoid thinking about what happened last night. Damn, I don't even feel like arguing with friends who think United deserved to lose or the sending off was just. Had this happened in the Premier League, I'd have brought the down with anger. Absolutely dejected.

I don't want speculate as to why Fergie decided to drop Rooney since he's second's people too many times in the past. This time it didn't work and that's lead to silly rumors of Rooney's departure but had it worked, the press would have called it a masterstroke. The decision to send off Nani is one of those weird decisions that played a role in sending United out of the UCL. I'm still confused. Did the ref decide himself or did the linesman have a say. If going out wasn't bad enough, the manner in which United were knocked out has left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

My Friend you forgot to mention about the crazy decision by the Turkish referee to send Nani off but it happens in football. Also United are not sore losers who whine about everything but I do feel bad for them, they gave their all and did not get the desired result. I feel everything premier team may have to feel the wrath of fergie's anger..
Cheers...

I'm not sure if he's come out for press conference yet but I'm sure the entire Rooney to PSG saga will overshadow his decision to drop him. There's a chance journalists may not even ask him why he left Rooney out.

The curse of the old boy strikes again. However, the post match headlines were the sending off, Ferguson's refusal to attend the post match conference and Rio's sarcastic applause at the referee after the final whistle. Nothing much was said about the game itself.

Ronaldo scored one goal each in both legs. He is the one that brought Real Madrid forward even when he was not playing the best football of his life. Nani's unexpected send-off was the factor in conceding the two goals as Manchester United was in quite a commanding position at that moment right before the red card. I am very disappointed with the result. I hope Real Madrid can go on to win the ECL.

Hala Madrid! Yes, Victory kissed the feet of Madrid but the win was not so sweet. I am a die hard fan of Madrid and quite pleased with that win but i did not celebrate it.

Really sad to see Man United lose from Real Madrid.
But anyway, it's still better than seeing losing to Barca
Well, good luck to Madrid.
Hope to see you in the final with Juve!
