First to $1000 wins

My husband feels that my online earnings do not amount to anything, and that my selling stuff through the facebook local classifieds is a waste of time. We made a bet, and it is first to $1000 in any form of currency outside of our normal salary wins.
I asked if my accumlated earnings in my sites counts and he said that it does. Cashed out $50 in Amazon credit from swagbucks today. I have 19.75 with $2 pending in another site. Looks like I am in the lead.
I do not know what the person wins, but I am in it to win it.
He does have some items that he could part with, that would put him in the lead (old electronics etc, but that would require him to stop playing his video games and do something.)
Anyone else have bets like this going maybe to a smaller amount.

Hi asyria!
Wow! That would be a good idea. BTW way, did you set a time bound?
Have a great day!

We did not really set a time limit on it. I tutor occasionally for extra money, have garage sales, along with online earnings. I think I should be able to make this amount by the end of May or early June. Especially with Spring Break around the corner, I can get stuff ready to sell, and have the time to post pictures on the online classifieds.

Great idea, sounds like a lot of fun. The prize should be the person gets the $1000, for themself.

The money is going to go toward our trip to Germany and Ireland this summer. All of the Amazon credit will go towards Christmas presents.
I think that the prize is going to be in the form of taking over chores around the house. I really, really, really hate doing the laundry.
