Feeding Squirrels

I've been buying the dried corn that you put in a cone on the trees for the squirrels and they love it. My cat is addicted to watching them outside our window and I like watching them also. Only problem is the stuff is so expensive!! Anyone have any ideas for some homemade squirrel food I could make out of stuff in my cupboards??
