Celebrating XMAS and WHY??

Does anyone know the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate it? The Christmas tree, buying presents, even Santa Claus (that's another topic). Did you know that during this time if year is when people are more stressed, depressed, and more suicides occur. All because we try and please those just by buying gifts and presents for someone (when at times, WE can't even afford them). We actually go broke to please others. We take on a second job & even put things on layaway for just this "one day". But what is the origin behind Xmas? There is a website about Xmas. I will have to find it & post it back on here. Just wanted to share my thought. -NIKKI-

As with any holiday season that is commercially promoted as a time to buy stuff, I just really take what I want off it and never mind the rest. True I hate the crowds, traffic, the expectation to spend. But I also love the fact that family and friends are home and I just focus on making the time I spend with them more meaningful. And of course, the food.
